Chapter 1078 - Chapter 728: The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility (Part 3)_1

Generally speaking, the relationship between gods and the pope should be one of mutual benefits. The gods grant power to the pope, and the pope, in turn, helps the gods spread their faith.

However, the relationship that Shiller has with all his gods is relatively more diverse. It can't exactly be described as cordial. It's more like they enjoy watching each other get into trouble.

When Shiller appeared to be confined by someone from another world, Lucifer's first reaction was to slam on the brakes, put the car in reverse, and fall back to a safe distance to watch the show unfold.

From his observation, Shiller was locked in a cube-shaped cage. The cube was blue and shimmered like a vast ocean under a black cosmic backdrop, which made it all the more dazzling.

Of course, Shiller, who was in the cube, saw that universe. But he didn't pay any attention to Lucifer, who he had just summoned. He was very clear about who lifted him out of his bed and tossed him here. He yelled into thin air:

"Eternity! What are you doing? Put me back immediately!"

Eternity appeared outside the cube and asked Shiller calmly: "That's the question I should be asking you, what are you trying to do?"

"You dare to ask me what I am trying to do?" Shiller folded his arms menacingly and replied: "First you threaten me, now you kidnap me. Is this how Marvel's gods behave?"

Eternity was genuinely shocked at Shiller's audacious attitude.

After communicating with the OAA, he could see why Deadpool literally dumped poop at his house. To put it shortly, this mess turns out to be all due to Shiller, with no cover-up.

Not only did he stink up the Multiverse, but he also had Deadpool come over to paint his house with feces. Afterwards, he planned on using Spider Man to create a bug in the cosmos to set a trap for the supreme being.

What in the world has gotten into this human named Schiller Rodrigues?

Of course, Eternity didn't rule out the possibility that Schiller was just upset with his life and wanted to lash out at society. But when Eternity took a look at Schiller's life history, it seemed completely normal. In fact, it appeared to be extremely smooth sailing. So what was the real reason behind his actions?

Observing the confusion plastered all across Eternity's face, Shiller got even more irritated. He took a deep breath and said: "You kidnap me, yet you dare to ask me why?"

"I brought you here to understand why you're doing all of this," Eternity replied calmly — not because he was patient, but because his own boss was also watching from the sidelines.

Seeing Eternity's composed demeanor, Shiller looked astonished and replied: "What have I done? Why am I doing this?"

"Firstly, why did you send Deadpool to the Temple of Eternity..." Eternity started saying with gritted teeth but somehow managed to rein in his anger.

"That was simply a way to demand my wages. If you refuse to compensate me, why can't I use my own methods to demand my wages?" Shiller retorted. He felt that everything he had done was absolutely alright, whether logically or emotionally.

"Compensate? Why should we compensate you?" Eternity asked again.

Taking a deep breath, Shiller answered with rage: "Of course, it's because you've reset my universe. Do you know how long it took me to write that paper?"

Gazing at Eternity's clueless expression, Shiller tried to regain his cool, and said:

"Earlier this year, the Solar System Development Plan entered a new stage, and the mutants from the Andromeda Galaxy also began to communicate normally with other civilizations."

"Based on this, a new field of study emerged, which I dubbed 'Cosmic Sociology.' Since it's such a new field, I couldn't find researchers or students in the same area, so I started the research on my own."

"From the beginning of the year, I combed through all kinds of philosophical, sociological, and psychological books in human history, read many related papers, and then started working on my thesis."

"By the end of this year, I had finished five papers. This took a tremendous amount of effort. And because they contained some secrets, I saved them in several secure computers owned by different forces."

"Tony fabricated storage systems out of molten steel, Jarvis did a quality inspection for these devices and ensured that they were connected to a never-ending power supply…"

"And then you reset the whole universe."

At this point, Eternity interrupted: "Hold on, your vital signs are showing some anomalies. Your blood pressure is rising at an abnormal rate. You should take deep breaths…"

"I don't need your advice!!"

"So, you're asking for compensation due to loss of labor results? We reset the individual universes to rectify potential errors for the stable operation of the cosmos," explained Eternity.

"So, why were there errors in the universe in the first place? Whose responsibility is it?" Shiller asked, standing with his hands on his hips.

"Is...wait, isn't it your responsibility?" Eternity retorted, "Wasn't it because you wanted to enter the Realm of Death, that you collided with the rules of the universe and caused the error?"
