Chapter 1079 - Chapter 728: The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility (Part 3)_2

"So, why do I want to go to the Realm of Death?" Shiller asked again.

"Because..." Eternity paused mid-sentence, then asked with a bewildered expression: "Why do you want to go to the Realm of Death?"

"Because Death has signed a resurrection contract with others, but not with me, I thought I would ask Death myself, why it won't make an agreement with me," Shiller waved his arm as he spoke.

At this point, Eternity was lost for words.

It was similar to the situation where a top boss personally investigated a case only to discover that the suspect inadvertently revealed a department manager's corruption and coincidentally, had recently cleared up the mess for this department manager.

Eternity felt that if he had blood pressure, it would definitely be rising abnormally fast now.

"Actually, it's against the rules for Death to trade with lives in the cosmos, she is misusing her power..." After a long moment, Eternity decided to tell the truth. It wasn't his mistake, to continue covering up, everyone would lose.

After all, Shiller has now truly punctured the sky, throughout history, he was the only one brazen enough to pour filth into the Multiverse.

Now, after all this investigation, it traces back to one of their own, how could the OAA not be angry?

"If it's against the rules, why didn't the upper management notice? Why didn't the staff report it? Why didn't the supervisory department intervene in the investigation? Why wasn't there a direct channel for complaints?"

After a series of questions, Shiller stood up, rolled up his sleeves and said, "Since you distribute according to the amount of trouble, then I won't be polite! Where is my ship?!"

"Wait a minute! Shiller, calm down, we're discussing solutions..."

Eternity was indeed discussing solutions with the OAA, but the best solution would be, if the problem cannot be solved, then eliminate the one who raised the problem. This wouldn't be too difficult for the OAA.

But, Shiller's physical eyes saw Lucifer, who was enjoying the spectacle from the side. Of course, Eternity and OAA had also noticed him, Eternity could sense his level but did not know his identity, but the OAA knew all too well.

It would be simple to eliminate the one who raised the question, but the smirking competitors standing by were already grinning ear to ear, barely resisting mockery to the face.

The OAA believes that since he was willing to travel a long distance to watch the spectacle, he would certainly not be stingy about opening his mouth wide once he got home, boasting about it, and then the other side would certainly perform a shocked reaction for him.

At this point in the situation, the reason wasn't too important anymore, the main objective was now to win.

Suddenly, a laugh echoed from within the cube, Shiller suddenly lowered his head and started laughing.

Seeing that Eternity and OAA were watching him, he said: "Do you think, for such a trivial matter, I would bother you?"

"Compensation? Perhaps, greed is innate in everyone, but material greed is the lowest level, what I really desire, is your interesting reactions."

"Omniscient and omnipotent deity?" Shiller revealed a mocking smile, the ridicule clearly written on his face.

Shiller looked up at Eternity, in his eyes Eternity saw a level of madness he could not comprehend. How could a weak and fragile human dare to mock God, wasn't he afraid of death?

But soon, Eternity realized that the other side might have truly gone mad. Because besides ridicule, the infectious greed emanating from Shiller almost ignited the serene space around him.

There is no emotion crazier than greed in this world, if all versions of Shiller have gone mad, then Greed must be the craziest one.

"I've always hoped to be an ordinary person, but obviously, I haven't acted that way in this matter."

"This is because once I told a child 'with great power comes great responsibility', I never took it as a joke."

"So, now, I stand on your opposing side on behalf of all lives in all universes, to ask you one question."

Shiller narrowed his eyes, looking at Eternity. Under the hazy fluctuating light of the cubic barrier, Eternity saw him reveal a set of razor-sharp fangs that looked sharper than a bat's.

"'With great power comes great responsibility', this virtue that you taught Spider Man once through countless people, have you really practiced it?"

"Does the responsibility you bear truly match your omnipotent and omniscient powers?"

"Answer me... are you worthy?"

As the cosmos fell silent, Shiller suddenly heard a familiar voice in his mind, "It seems like they might want to get rid of you, what do you think? Shall we escape?"

"You're really one to stir up a mess! If I'd known, I would have personally made you my Pope. Well done!"

"Do you need something?" Shiller grumbled, "You know they're going to get me killed and you're not getting me out of here. If you don't, I'll tell the whole world as soon as I get back to that universe that you are courting a female police officer and you even…"

"Shut up! Just stop!" Lucifer interrupted, "I think they may start to act. I'll get you back into the cosmos before they gobble you up."

Then the cosmos Lucifer controlled started to float towards this side. Though slowly drifting as it seemed, it was exceptionally fast; almost in the blink of an eye, it reached the cube.

Lucifer's original plan was to approach the cube, use his power to break through its wall, drag Shiller out, and stuff him into the car he was driving. A typical jailbreak strategy.

However, as he approached the cube and overlaid his power, Lucifer realized that his rank wasn't high enough to break through the cube's defense.

At this point, the situation became a bit embarrassing: the jailbreaker had arrived with the tools ready, but he simply couldn't cut the rope.

With Lucifer stuck in place, he watched Shiller inside the cube, shouting:

"Eternity! There's a jailbreak!! Eternity! Wake up! Eternity! There's a jailbreak!!"

Lucifer cursed and ran away, shouting as he did, "Shiller! Are you sick?!! Which side are you on?!!!"

But it was too late. Instinctively, OAA felt someone tampering with Shiller's cage and activated the cube.

The blue cube held many functions, most of which couldn't affect Lucifer in the other world. But one notable unchanging aspect was its strong suction power when activated.

Lucifer hadn't gotten far when, like being put in reverse, both he and his car started flying towards the cube.

Despite Lucifer being second only to one person in DC, OAA was above everyone else. Comparing their positions, Lucifer was inferior to OAA.

As he flew back towards the cube, Lucifer bellowed: "Shiller!!! Are you trying to kill me?!!"

Just then, a particularly calm, even cold voice rang in Lucifer's head:

"Just crash in! Then call out to God!"

"Are you insane?! What the hell do you want?!"

"What do I want?" Shiller's voice brimmed with boundless insanity:

"I want to teach the gods a lesson!!!"

"You're insane!!!!"

"Get to it!!!!"

Knowing he couldn't escape, Lucifer gritted his teeth, stomped down the pedal, and drove the entire cosmos straight into the blue cube.

A completely incompatible but superior power instantly swallowed Lucifer, continually tearing apart his body and energy.

The threat of death made him instinctively scream out a single word:

"Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!"

In an instant, a cosmic light lit up, covering the entire cube in a fraction of non-visible time.

With a swoosh, all of a sudden, the people, the car, and the cube cage disappeared.

The cosmos echoed with Shiller's cold laughter:

"Remember, as you said yourself, 'with great powers come great responsibilities…'"

"The greater the responsibility, the greater the compensation!"

"Thanks!"
