Just repairing Coulson's body doesn't mean he could regain his life. A normal person, at the moment of death, their spirit will go to where it should go, and if it's at the very moment of death, perhaps there is a possibility to be brought back. But several minutes had passed since Coulson's death, his spirit had already gone somewhere unknown. It was more than likely impossible to retrieve it now.
However, in previous experiments, the GH Series Drugs had been proven capable of resurrecting people. However, due to Dr. Shiller's recent distraction using Nal's energy to vye with Solus for the Bat Totem, he hadn't witnessed the process of resurrection up close before.
Upon discovering that Coulson was indeed dead, Shiller stepped aside, and Ward, holding the GH Potion, injected it into Coulson's body.
For the first few seconds, there were no changes. Shiller attached magic energy to his eyes, and then he observed that Coulson's spirit came drifting back from the void and actively returned to his body.
Focusing on the place where Coulson's spirit appeared, Shiller sensed a familiar aura. It was that of death.
Shiller found that the principle of Coulson's resurrection was the same as that of the followers of the Egyptian Pantheon. Death had kicked him out of the Land of Death, then he was resurrected.
However, it's impossible for Coulson to bargain with death. Therefore, the only problem might lie with this injection.
The raw material for the injection, which is a descendant of a Kree spy, obviously could not have a deal with death. But one of the Three Great Empires of the Universe, the Kree Empire, may not also have.
The next day, Shiller received a box marked as 084 from Ward. After opening the box, he found a peculiarly shaped object laying quietly inside.
Even though it was called an obelisk, it looked more like a trophy. Through the plot of the TV drama, Shiller knew that the Obelisk had corrosion properties. Barehanded touch could lead to severe consequences. However, rubber had insulation effects against the Obelisk's corrosion.
Shiller put on the prepared rubber gloves and reached into the box. At the moment he touched the Obelisk, he sensed a familiar aura once again.
This aura, he once felt from another object, that was the scales he got from the Ship of the Underworld.
Shiller took the Obelisk out of the box, examined it carefully, and sported a malicious grin on the half of the face not obscured by the Obelisk.
As he looked at the Obelisk, it wasn't like he was looking at a treasure, but more like he was looking at a newly-delivered … brand new phone.
At the same time, the Spider Legion at the base was fully prepared to set out. The Amazing Spiderman spoke, "Even if the Successor Family's base is gone, we must find their traces; otherwise, more Spider-Men will be harmed."
"We cannot act alone, like before, otherwise we will be defeated one by one. We must investigate in groups..." The Amazing Spiderman swept across the faces of all the spider men in the room, and finally, his gaze fell on Peter.
"So, which team shall I join?" Peter rubbed his hands together, looking rather eager. Just as the Amazing Spiderman was about to ask him to join his team, Dr. Octavius Parker walked straight up and put a mechanical arm in front of Peter, saying, "He's mine."
The Amazing Spiderman walked up and looked at Dr. Octavius Parker, "What are you up to?"
"A rough man who only knows how to rush headlong into things, paired with a dumb kid who has power but doesn't know how to control it, you will make a mess." Dr. Octavius Parker retorted mercilessly.
"Hold on! Stop arguing! How about... you play Rock Paper Scissors?"
Peter stepped in between the two. Both of them huffed coldly. Finally, the Amazing Spiderman stepped back. He said, "Fine, you go with him. But remember, if he makes you do bad things, don't listen to him ..."
"Don't worry, I am Spider Man." With that, Peter stepped behind Dr. Octavius Parker and followed him away.
Gwen Spider walked up and looked at Peter's departing figure, "He's quite a lucky guy, isn't he?"
The Amazing Spiderman unusually showed a hint of melancholy, he said, "Hopefully he cherishes these times. Maybe, soon he'll realize these are the best times of his life."
Peter, who had left with Dr. Octavius Parker, didn't hear what they were saying. But soon, they were transported to another universe through the transmitter. This was the temporary drop-off point for the Spider Man led by Dr. Octavius Parker.
After briefly arranging the tasks, Dr. Octavius Parker returned to his room, taking Peter with him before leaving.
Upon arriving at the room, Peter, somewhat intrigued, looked around. Dr. Octavius Parker looked at Peter and said, "Now, you should introduce yourself, shouldn't you?"
Introduction? But haven't I introduced myself? My name is Peter Parker, codenamed Spider Man, I just started college recently..."
"I'm not interested in this." With no outsiders present, Dr. Octavius Parker's tone turned cold, a tone that didn't belong to Peter Parker. He said, "Tell me your life history, including every person you know and your relationship with them..."
"I'm not a criminal, why are you interrogating me?" Peter said discontentedly, "You tried to ambush me before, I asked you if we had a grudge, and you said no, but I feel like you hold a grudge against me."
Dr. Octavius Parker paused for a moment, then said, "Yes, since the moment I saw you, I have found you displeasing."
"Why?" Peter asked in utter bewilderment.
"You just need to answer one question for me..." Dr. Octavius Parker stepped forward, face-to-face with Peter, then asked him, "Have you experienced loss?"
"What do you mean by... have I experienced loss?"
"Everything important to you, everyone important to you, everything you wanted to achieve... have you lost these things?"
Peter also looked at Dr. Octavius Parker. He stood there silently, as though contemplating, then he decisively shook his head and said, "No, everything important to me, everyone who is important to me, are now by my side. I've achieved what I wanted to achieve. The plans in progress are all going well…"
Dr. Octavius Parker suddenly laughed. He said, "It seems it's quite fortunate that you showed up now; this will end up being your last beautiful memory."
"I don't understand what you're saying..."
"You'll have to answer another question for me." Dr. Octavius Parker lowered his head slightly and asked, "Who said the phrase "with great power, comes great responsibility?' to you?"
"It was..." Peter paused for a moment as though he was recollecting. Then he said, "It was Dr. Shiller, a good doctor, my teacher..."
"And you're about to lose him."
Dr. Octavius Parker stepped back. Although he wore a mask, Peter could still see his mocking expression. Peter said a bit angrily, "What are you talking about? Are you cursing him?"
"No, it's not me who's cursing him. It's us, all the Spider-Men, who have been cursed." Dr. Octavius Parker's voice lowered, and his next words struck Peter like a bolt from the blue.
"With great power comes great responsibility. That's our curse."
"Everyone who has made us realize this truth, everyone who has said this to us... is destined to die."
