~Ch.5 Start!~
Hello to all of you. It is time to enter another dream. The last one was... um... really a curious one. It was so fun for me, but..... I am still emotionless as usual.
''Vis Lumé Acces!'' Lucia spoke to the sky, as she thought, ''Will I ever... change? Will I?''
[Dream entered]
''Hrm? Its dark in here. Where did I appear?'' Lucia asked, as she peeked around. ''Is this... a cave? There is mist here too? Urrrm?''
At a closer look, something was up with the cave walls, and floors.
''Is it me, or is everything here seem..... blocky?'' Lucia sketchily thought, while knocking on the scenery. ''No, I was right. I am in a dark cave... made of squares.''
In this area, I could only walk two ways. Behind me, where it gets eerily darker, or north. My senses were pulling me north, so I headed that way.
[Realm of Quests]
Minutes later...
''What a grim place. I wonder what I might see here.'' Lucia emptily thought. ''I do not think... I have seen a blocky cave before. Urrr? -What is that sound?''
((Rattle... Rat-tle... RATTLE!))
'' ❓ Am I...in danger?'' She thought, ready for a battle. ''A shadow beast? Is that... a skeleton, with... weapons and armor? ❗ ''
((Enemy slash!))
[Shadow Skeleton Appears!]
I dodged Mr. Skeleton's attack, and quickly summoned my own weapon.
[Wooden bat apelled!]
I waited for my chance, then I kept bashing Mr. Skeleton -to the front. ...Little effect.
Right bash. ...Somewhat big effect.
Bash to the left. .....It looked angry.
Then a vertical upward bash. ~It let out a rattling growl.
At last, a vertical downward bash. . . . . .
[Shadow Skeleton has fallen!]
''What a intense battle. I think... the battle is finished now.'' Lucia thought, while looking forward.
I forgot to explain another detail yet. Depending on the dream realm's theme, some contain what I named 'shadow creatures.' Beings that reflect the creator's fear, to a specific subject.
The bigger the creator's fear, the more powerful they become. They seem to show up, only once in a while, and I hope that does not change.
Later...
A bit further, and that cave became a labyrinth. Multiple hallways, and a few inside ponds too. I was lost for a Whiiile.
After a certain point, I found stairs leading down. I went down them of course, and what happened next, gave me a weird surprise.
((Falling down))
After a few steps, the stairs were cut off.
((Landed, standing up fine))
''This feeling. Where did I fall to?'' Lucia asked herself, in a confused state. ''Whooooooaaa... This place... is splendid. Pretty grass plains, mountains, sparkling oceans, and lonely trees. Where IS this?
This place is so great, but... there is... kind of a lonely feeling to it all. I wish..... I had others to share this all with. Hrmnnn...''
I was wandering these plains for... hm... a long bit of time. There was no straight path, or any kind of thing to lead me. I might have got lost, if it was not for my senses.
((Plopp. Ploppp. PLOPP!))
''That sound. Is it getting closer to me?'' She asked, scoping around. ''A small monster? What is with its form? It looks... like a teardrop? And does it... seem liquidly?''
[Shadow Liquid appears!]
((Enemy headbash! X2))
In a strange way, it was kind of... adorable. It felt wrong to hurt it~
[Lance apelled!]
I tried to 'gently' destroy it, with the lance I called.
Poke to the back! ...Minor pain.
Double head poke! ...It yelped.
~Twirling frontal strike! . . . It let out a painful cry.
[Mr. Liquid has fallen!]
''Sorry for that, Mr. Liquid. I had to do it.'' She apologetically said.
After the sad battle, I kept on searching for the Crux. Then, I found a pretty ominous area. To me, it screamed I was somewhere important.
As I got closer, the clouds slowly turned dark purple, and the mountains became a valley.
~Past the dark mountains~
''That... is a impressive structure. And... why is it so dark?'' She asked, straining her neck to gaze up. ''Such a high tower. -How high does its floors reach? And the tower is blocky too?''
Done being taken in by the tower, I went inside its impressive double doors. Right away, the doors closed, trapping me in.
[Fang Tower ~Interior~ ]
Inside the tower, all of the rooms were so dark. There was not a lot of light, and no windows anywhere. Every floor had a few shadow monsters, and I tried to avoid them all.
I could not count, but this tower must be 30 - 50 floors. I was lucky though, because each floor was not that vast. They were... the size of a small store.
At last, up these stairs, I was in a room that felt off. I stood on a long red carpet, leading to more blocky double doors. Next to the carpet, I saw some lined up torches.
Lucia thought, ''Is this it? Is this the final room?''
[Crux room entered]
''A strange dream like this, what could the Crux be?'' She curiously thought. ''. . . . . .Metal? No. I think... that has to be armor.''
The Crux looked like body armor, although... something about the Crux, seemed off.
She asked herself, ''Why armor? I do not understand.''
When I got close to it, the Crux started rattling a lot.
((Thunderous beast roar))
At that moment, the armor turned bright, shifting into a different form.
''Uah...!'' She muttered, being blinded. ''A monster?? What happened to the armor??
Wait a moment, here. It cannot be. Is the Crux... -a dragon????'' She asked, emotionlessly and loudly.
[Dark Dragon Lord appears!]
The scenery around us, stayed pitch black this time. A unusual thing, that has not happened before.
''A real life dragon. Is defeating a beast like that... possible?'' She thought, lost in her amazement.
[Bow and arrow apelled!]
''Since Mr. Dragon is flying, this might work.'' She carefully thought.
((Shots X6))
3 shots aimed for the belly. ...He blocked with his tail.
3 more shots to the back. ...No effect.
((Blazing blue fire breath!))
''If that did not work, what else could I try?'' She thought, while running. '' ❗ ''
I pretended to fall down, and let Mr. Dragon fly towards me.
((Incoming angry roar!))
Right as he was ready to claw me, I jumped up and bashed his head. -Using a giant pointed club, I called forth.
The impact of the bash, made him crash down. While Mr. Dragon recovered, I tried to figure out its weak point.
Then, I recalled a fact Theodore explained to me. A dragon's weak point is where no scales are. =In clearer words, their underbelly.
Test bash to the belly. -He quickly got up and grabbed me.
((Angry snort))
''I guess that must have hurt.'' Lucia simply thought, with no fear.
Mr. Dragon Furiously roared.
((Charging fire breath -shifts Into a abrupt cry of pain!))
While Mr. Dragon was charging his breath, I had a sword fall on his hand. Then, I grabbed my sword and stabbed him again.
((Painful roars))
Finally, I took my chance, and ran to his belly.
[The Dragon Lord has fallen!]
''I..... defeated a dragon? I beat it?'' She excitedly thought, as she made her first smirk.
[Quest realm shattered]
Lucia explained to us, ''I should make it clear; The theme of today's dream was... 'Missing all retro games.'
[Lucia Manor Balcony]
''Hold on. Wait a moment. What was that?'' She frenziedly thought, feeling her face. ''What my face just did. That was new. Did I... finally give a emotion? I have to see if I can give it again.''
((Strongly attempting to smile!))
''Welcome back, my lady. I hope your adventure worked out for you, today. Umm-Urnghh!!'' Theodore gently said, as he stumbled back a bit. ''E-Excuse me! Is it my eyes, or is there a different air about you?!''
''Theodore? O-Ohh... Do you mean this?'' She asked, pointing to her baby smirk.
''Hmmmmmm... (Snaps fingers) -That's the difference!'' Theodore keenly said, while adjusting his glasses. ''Lady Lucia! At long last, you managed to smirk! And it is a bedazzling one as well!''
Lucia thought, ''A smirk? I am smirking?''
