Gilbert got up and shouted at her. Then he looked at the other side. His eyes were wet. Sister Veronica understood that and she put her hand on top of his. She said,
"I can never be your mother, still I am a mother. So please tell me. Why did you do that? I'm not sitting here as your enemy. I'm just trying to help you."
Gilbert looked at her. He felt something special about her. From the first moment he saw her he started feeling like seeing Sofia. A strong, kind, well behaved and lovely woman. He looked down and sat like that for some time. She waited and gave him enough time.
