As the warmth of the fire filled the room and the soft hum of conversation settled, Remo leaned over to Abby and gently excused himself. "I'll be right back," he whispered, giving her hand a soft squeeze before standing and stepping into the hallway. Abby gave him a curious look but nodded, turning her attention back to Olivia and Luca, who was now fast asleep in his mother's arms.
Remo pulled out his phone, feeling the weight of what he was about to do. He had known for a while now that Luca was Tony's son, though his best friend had never officially met the boy. It wasn't for lack of wanting to; Tony had simply respected Olivia's space and her decision to keep her life with Luca separate. But now that Olivia had shown up here, on Christmas Eve no less, Remo felt it was time to bridge that gap. He owed it to both Tony and Luca.
He opened his text messages and tapped on Tony's name, quickly typing out a message.
"Olivia's here with Luca."
