The snow outside continued to fall softly, painting the world in a winter wonderland as Remo glanced over at Abby. She was standing by the Christmas tree, her eyes sparkling in the soft glow of the lights. Her cheeks were rosy from the warmth of the fire, and she looked more beautiful than ever.
"You're staring," Abby said, catching his gaze, a playful smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.
Remo shrugged, leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed, a half-smile on his face. "Can't help it. You're impossible to look away from."
Abby rolled her eyes, but the blush on her cheeks deepened. She crossed the room, her steps light and graceful as she approached him. "Well, it's Christmas," she said, lifting a brow. "Aren't you supposed to be helping me, instead of just standing there looking all broody?"
He chuckled softly, reaching out to pull her into his arms. "Broody, huh?" His voice lowered, teasing. "I'm just appreciating my present."
