Chapter 31 - Chapter 31- Pride

The figure was massive standing over tens feet and height with a belly to match. It had grey skin riddled with scars. In its left hand it carried a tree trunk fashioned as a giant wooden club.

Its eyes were black and soulless as it grinned with yellow stained teeth. Only a animal skin loincloth covered the bottom half of the grotesque creature. It looked or Sor who was visibliy nervous but didn't shy away from its gaze.

"I trust that Rath-Gul will hold his end of the bargain right, Gulu?" nervously asked Sor.

"Of course, Rath-Gul is a ogre of honor. Especially for these beauties." answered Gulu as he tapped the top of the cages. His voice was deep and emotionless but his eyes were filled with gluttony. "We should leave now before the sleeping poison wears off. Let's go."

Gulu walked off inform of the cages while Sor's people hooked up horses to pull the carts. Tru lazily opened one eye as they began moving through the dark forest.

He looked over at Gorlo who was till fast asleep and say the same was for the Gobs. Luckily his cage was in the back and Sor and his gang were up front. Tru sat up and exhaled hard before standing up.

He readied himself and swung the Gauntlet at the cage when he heard Wrath's voice, causing him to stop.

"DONT DO IT!" exclaimed Wrath her voice echoing in his head.

Tru stopped and rolled his eyes before staring at the cage. "Ok and why is that?" asked Tru.

"Because you'll never cut through it even with the gauntlet. This cage is made from the wood of the Red Le tree. Not even Ancient Viltrum Ore can cut through it fast enough before it heals itself." said Wrath as Tru touched the wooden cage.

"Huh must be some special tree then if it can do all that." said Trucas he laid back in the cage.

"You humans really know nothing!" yelled Wrath, her voice clearly angry. "It's the oldest tree in Eldoria, it's been here since the beginning of time. They say from its branches the Prime One crafted the angels wings and gave them the heavens.

Though what I want to know is how a bunch of filthy ogres got their hands on some. Elves aren't to happy to part with any part of the tree." said Wrath. Tru said nothing but closed his eyes and laid in silence.

"You aren't curious? Not even a little?" asked Wrath.

"No." answered Tru, his voice slightly irritated. "I'm not. I can't cut through it so all I can do is wait till they let me out and go from there. So till then I'm going to rest my eyes."

Wrath scoffed and left him to be in silence. Tru relaxed and closed his eyes once more as they traveled through the night.

In the medical room at the mountain cabin lay Camelot on a bed in a bright pitch white room. He lay there still and unmoving, sleeping peacefully. A brief moment passed when he slowly opened his eyes.

He squinted as he adjusted to the brightness he though was the sun but there was nothing above him. He struggled to sit up as his arms were weak and his head was pounding. He rubbed his left eyebrow to aleveate some of the pain.

"Damn my head is killing me. Just where am I?" asked Camelot as he looked around and saw nothing.

"This is my soul space. Welcome Master Camelot." said a sweet soft voice almost like a whisper. It was calming yet stern and hearing it calmed Camelot down.

He looked behind him and saw a gentle looking man with a warm smile. He had long white hair that fell to his shoulders. He wore a bright white colored armor adorned with feathers. On his waist was silver long sword.

It's blade was was a bright silver that he could see his reflection. The hilt was covered in small white feathers and the pommel a floating white circle. It was covered in a flaming white aura of magical energy.

Camelot was mesmerized by the beauty of the blade when he felt the man staring at him. He looked at him but saw that his eyes weren't open yet he could feel his piercing gaze. The man chuckled lightly before walking towards Camelot.

He stopped before sitting before waving his hand and two seats formed for the two. He gestured for Camelot to sit as he did. Camelot took the seat with his guard on high alert. Seeing his concerned expression caused Him to laugh even harder than before.

"Oh Master Camelot, you jest. I am but a humble servant no need to be on such high alert for me." said the man as he chuckled lightly. Camelot listened to him speak and eased a bit while also feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Who are you exactly?" asked Arthur.

The man slightly scoffed and smiled ,"I am he who cuts all down. I am the False Angel. I am the strongest of the 7. I am Pride" said the man softly yet his voice carried a bit of arrogance.

"…Pride?" questioned Camelot. Pride nodded lightly before standing up. "Yes Master Camelot, I am here as your humble servant to assist you as was promised." said Pride as he paced lightly back and forth. He was relaxed as he walked around.

Camelot watched as Pride walked back and forth. He then abruptly stopped and turned to the young man. "We don't have much time, I feel one of my brethren has awoken, though I'm not exactly sure who." said Pride.

He then took his sword off his waist and readied himself before Camelot. "That being said, you are far to weak to receive all my power so I will train you here." said Pride as a pure white aura of magical energy enveloped his body.

Camelot stood and immediately panicked as he was defenseless against Pride. "WAIT WAIT WAIT!" yelled Camelot as terror filled his face. "How am I supposed to train with no clue how or what I'm supposed to use!? Isn't this a bit unfair?" said the boy when suddenly a eerie look came upon Pride's face.

He opened his eyes and Camelot became frozen. His iris were a piercing blue while his pupil was completely white. They made Camelot feel as if his every move was being watched by a hawk, analyzing and dissecting him.

"That part sounds personal, if you're too slow to figure it out, Master, then I'm afraid you aren't as worthy as I thought you were." coldly exclaimed Pride.

He then took a step forward and disappeared before Camelot's eyes. He panicked as he looked around his surroundings when he felt a hand grab a fistful of hair. It held tight when he felt the cold steel of a blade, he looked down and saw it was Pride's.

The blade was pressed against his throat and drew a sliver of blood when Pride brought his head next to his. He leaned into his ear as fear filled Camelot's heart.

"You won't be leaving here until I think you're worthy." said Pride as before cutting off Camelot's head. He threw the severed head as he watched the body collapse to the ground. When suddenly white smoke covered his body and reconnected it together.

Camelot sat up on his back side and began to crawl away from Pride in fear. He clutched his throat as he looked at the Ifrit's blade. "You-you-you killed me!" his voice trembling with fear as Pride stepped forward his sword pointed at Camelot's chest.

"So? What are you going to do about it 'Master'?"

Back in the medical bay a nurse was tending to Camelot when she heard a knock at the door. She walked and answered it and saw it was The Master, he had a large sharp smile plastered on his face.

He stepped into the room when he saw Camelot lying on the bed sleeping. He turned towards the nurse, who dared not make eye contact with him.

"I trust that you've been taking good care of him, right?" softly asked The Master. The nurse didn't utter a sound but nodded her head slowly. The Master just smiled and turned back towards Camelot when he saw his necklace give off a faint glow.

His red eyes filled with excitement as the lightly grew brighter and covered the boy's body. He laughed cause the nurse to drop to her knees and cover her ears. It was loud enough to damage her ears and gave her a nose bleed, and bring her to tears.

The Master ignored her physical injuries but walked over and bent down before her. He lifted her head and saw her face was disholvede and bloody. He reached into his pocket and took out a napkin, which he used to wipe her face.

Her eyes were filled with fear as tears dropped rapidly, though she didn't utter a sound. The Master then helped her too her feet much to her surprise. He then left her be and headed towards to the door when he stood before exiting.

"Continue the good work. Make sure he is healthy and able by time he is finished."
