With Aisha's assistance, Alexander covered her with the cloth.
Aisha is taken to the garden by Alexander once he has finished dressing her.
The rose garden is a breathtaking sight to behold. As Alexander and Aisha enter the garden, they are greeted by rows upon rows of vibrant and colorful roses. The air is filled with an enchanting fragrance that lingers delicately, perfuming every breath they take.
As Alexander carries Aisha deeper into the garden, they come across a majestic trellis covered in climbing roses. The climbing roses showcase an impressive array of intertwining vines, their blossoms stretching toward the sky, creating a stunning cascade of colors and textures.
The fragrance in the air is captivating and intoxicating. The sweet scent of roses envelopes Aisha.
Aisha was placed on a nearby chair by Alexander. After that, he sat down next to her and opened the laptop that he had taken from the table.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming roses, and birds chirped happily from the treetops. A gentle breeze played with Aisha's hair as she leisurely sat along the chair.
There were roses everywhere in the garden, and since Aisha loved roses, she could not take her eyes off them. She was admiring the garden's view when her eyes caught sight of a figure in the distance. A boy, perhaps in his early teens, stood under the shade of a tall tree. What caught Aisha's attention was the boy was hiding his face under the hat he was wearing. Its wide brim gave it the appearance of a gardener's hat, and its beige hue went well with the surrounding scenery.
Aisha glanced over at Alexander instead of that boy. She touched his hair, which was moving gently in the breeze.
So I caught the fish, didn't I? Now when will Mr. Bill show up for the final play?
Aisha noticed the gardener boy's intense glare, which was incredulously directed at Alexander.
After a while, Bill nervously enters the garden.
Bill anxiously approached Alexander, his heart pounding with worry. He didn't find Alexander in his study, but after asking the people at the mansion he learned about Alexander in the garden.
"Sir!" Bill exclaimed, trying to catch his breath. "I just received some distressing news from Mr. Alfred regarding your car accidents. Are you alright?"
Startled, Alexander looked up from his work, coldness evident in his eyes. "Clam down? Bill, I am aware of the matter you are mentioning. However, I have not left the house today."
Bill breathed a sigh of relief.
He hurriedly explained, recounting the information he had received from the butler after he came from Aisha's family. He imparted all the details to Alexander, his words coming out in quick succession.
"The butler mentioned that your car had a severe accident today. And your car was badly damaged on the spot. He also said Linda narrowly escaped but had a serious injury on her body, I thought it was crucial to inform you!"
Alexander's expression does not change. He leaned back in his chair, contemplating what he had just heard. "I'm grateful for your concern, Bill, but there seems to be someone inside our mansion. My car was attacked out of nowhere and today's accident seems like an intensive incident."
Bill's brow furrowed, unsure of what to make of the conflicting information. "But it seems like Mr. Alfred is quite certain about the accident that car hit the tree, Sir. Could it be that he misinterpreted something or lacked all the information?
Shifting his eyes, Alexander let out a deep breath. "It's possible, Bill. Sometimes information can get misconstrued or exaggerated along the way. As much as I appreciate your alertness, I think it would be best to clarify with the car company or perhaps the person who did the information disclosure. So we can put this confusion to rest."
With a newfound sense of relief, Bill nodded in agreement. "Yes, Sir, you are correct. I'll go back to speak with the butler and recheck the information. It's vital to get accurate information and ensure that there hasn't been any misunderstanding."
Alexander Sigh. "Bill I trust your judgment, and your dedication to ensuring my well-being is truly commendable. keep me updated once you've done investing."
Bill nodded determinedly and left the garden.
"It's okay, he won't do any harm for now." Alexander turns his gaze on Aisha.
Aisha's eyes grew wide as she realized Alexander had noticed that she was staring at the garden boy. She knew that everyone would be suspicious of her if she revealed that she had caught the spy on her newlywed husband's property.
She married him just the day before yesterday. But too many things happened at once, suddenly her husband's car had a severe accident which caused the maid hospitalized, that maid also drove the very car whom Aisha suggested and now a sudden gardener glared at his master.
Aisha's heart pounded in her chest as she mustered the courage to stand up from the chair.
She could feel her breath catching in her throat. She stood in front of Alexander but the weight of her fear was palpable, causing her to involuntarily kneel in front of him. It was a submissive gesture, a desperate attempt to acknowledge her place and show her respect for him.
Aisha's eyes remained focused on the ground beneath her, unable to meet Alexander's gaze. Her hands trembled slightly as she clasped them together, an instinctive response to her overwhelming anxiety. Every fiber of her being screamed with the realization that she had crossed a line and disappointed him in some way that had led to this moment.
"What is the meaning of this?" stated Alexander.
It sounds like throne pieces on Aisha's ear when Alexander speaks in a cold tone. Her entire body begins to shake.
This is bad, if I am caught by him he will kill me and my family, what should I do? if I tell him about my past life he won't believe me. He might think I am one of the secret police spies.
And he will not blink his eyes before killing me. A woman like me who is only used for satisfying desire, he could use anyone to replace me.
"S...Sir, I did not know anything I...I was," Aisha struggled to finish.
"When did I say that you were the one who committed this offense?" Alexander cut the queue.
Aisha begins to sob in fear, hiccupping, "I..I, hic when I hic."
Alexander's heart softened as he saw Aisha's tears flowing down her face. He realized that his questions must have unintentionally intimidated her. Gently, he reached out his hand and offered it to her.
While Aisha hesitated, unsure what to do, he slowly grabbed her hand and lifted her from the cold ground. With a gesture of reaching for the handkerchief, he wipes Aisha's tears with it. Alexander gently wrapped his arms around her, comforting her in his embrace.
"Now tell me what makes you so afraid?" he asked softly. Aisha's trembling voice filled the air as she mustered the courage to speak.
"I... I didn't mean to make you angry. It's just that sometimes, your tone and presence can be overwhelming," she stammered, tears still streaming down her face.
"I am sorry now tell me what happened before," Alexander asks her in a low voice.
Even though she was afraid of Alexander, Aisha could not help but smile. But it makes her happy how he always tries to listen to her. Even in her previous life, she misbehaved with him, but he always listened to what she wanted to say.
"On my wedding day, when I asked for water from a maid she told me she only serves her master and I am not her master. I was afraid of all these people here so I asked you to stay with me and my mother also told me if I am scared of anyone or anything I should stay with you. I really didn't know anything of the accident as for that garden boy I had seen him somewhere before but where I couldn't recall that."
"I see, but do you remember that maid?" Alexander enquired.
How come? Was it only the part about the maid that he heard? With disbelief in her eyes, Aisha shook her head.
However, a look of curiosity flicked across her eyes.
"Do you wish to pay a visit to that maid?"
With a firm nod, Aisha expressed her agreement.
With a sigh, Alexander replied, "All right, we will go see her in the afternoon."
Aisha put her head on Alexander's neck and closed her eyes, she was relieved that she had dodged the bullet today. But she needed to be careful from now on.
Behind them the late afternoon sunlight cast long shadows across the vibrant flowers and swaying trees, Aisha smelled Alexander's collagen.
The thought of bedridden Linda made Aisha smile uncontrollably.
