Beatrix followed the group of John, Ezio, Doll, and Hanna.
"He is difficult," She muttered.
She had seen Nutless, the one who ambushed her after she escaped from Gala Regale, following John's orders. This was her only evaluation of John until she realized she could touch him.
"It's highly likely he can see me, but is ignoring me. I need to catch him by surprise to make sure of it."
The trio was about to fill out the participation form when suddenly Doll spoke.
"I need to go. It's something urgent."
"...Are you not going to participate in the tournaments?"
"Sorry."
Doll stared at Zain with an inexplicable gaze. Although she hid it quickly, Beatrix noticed her strange behavior.
"She usually finds a reason to stick close to John. Why is she leaving now?" Beatrix spoke with a hint of amusement.
While Beatrix had lost her mind-reading ability, her years of experience remained.
