A shattered world.
"This is the end! We need to escape before he arrives!"
A song of despair.
"No, don't kill us! I beg you! At least let my family live!"
A smiling evil.
"Don't let him reach the palace! He is here to revive the Evil God! Stop him even if you have to die!"
The man killed millions. He smiled as he washed the world in blood.
Soon, he reached the innermost part of the forbidden palace.
The world shook. A streak of starlight descended from the heavens, falling onto the earth.
"Stop!" A female silhouette stepped out of the starlight.
Her figure was riddled with injuries, having broken through the siege of the man's army that stood outside the planet.
"Zain, stop!" She shouted.
The man ignored her. His gaze was transfixed on the mutating orb of blood floating in the sky.
Tremors appeared in the woman's eyes.
"Zain, why are you here?" She asked. "Step away from that thing, please. It's the coffin of Daeva."
The man didn't answer.
"Please…. don't make me do this… don't betray me…" She bit her lips.
If the Evil God awakened, countless people would die. Its revival had to be stopped at all costs.
Zain didn't answer.
The woman clenched her sword. Zain would not stop, she had to kill him. Her arms trembled at that thought. She hated it. But Zain did not leave her any choice.
Suddenly, a blade impaled the woman.
Zain disappeared like an illusion. His real body appeared behind her, holding the sword's hilt.
"Don't worry, this won't kill you," He said.
"W…what?"
She watched in horror as her blood flew toward the red mass in the sky.
The corpses across the planet floated. They merged with the blood orb, forming a grotesque ball with millions of arms and legs.
Its flesh split apart and revealed a giant eye.
The eye stared at Zain… no, behind him.
Chills ran down Zain's spine. Something was wrong. He swiftly turned back.
The woman's soul floated there, staring at Zain with a determined gaze.
"I'm sorry, Zain. But…" Her soul shined brightly. "I won't repeat the same mistake twice."
The giant eye attacked the woman's soul.
Just before it could stop her, the radiance of the woman's soul illuminated the world.
