Hanna was nervous.
"You won't die, right?"
"As long as you don't mess up."
Zain was a returnee. In the upcoming Grand Auction, Carnival would buy him.
Currently, Zain had a tracker inside his heart, planted by Carnival. Whatever he did, he could not escape.
The only way out was to die.
"Relax, take deep breaths," Zain told Hanna. "Aim for the heart and—"
Hanna punched before he could complete his sentence. Her fist came out from the other side of his chest. She retracted her arm and left a gaping hole.
Blood spurted from the wound. Zain's lungs and ribcage were peeking out.
She hurriedly held him and placed the black marble inside his chest. According to Zain, this marble would replace his heart and he would be better than before.
Few minutes passed. Nothing happened.
"Did I kill him?" Hanna's lips quivered. She kneeled to take a closer look at Zain.
