The next morning, when Mia woke up to find herself in her bedroom, she was momentarily confused. She recalled waiting for Neil's return in the living room, but everything after that was a blur. Did he bring her back to the guest room? She wondered as she pushed herself off the bed to freshen up. However, the moment she stood, a sharp pain in her head made her fall back onto the bed. The pain was so intense that she grabbed her head with both hands and moaned in agony.
It took a while before the pain subsided. Slowly, she stood again to test if it had truly passed, sighing in relief when she didn't feel any more discomfort. What was that pain in my head? she thought as she freshened up and changed into a comfortable house outfit.
