"I feel okay..."she whispered softly, looking into the depth of his grey eyes that bored into hers. She'd lost so much weight Neil couldn't help but want to take her home and nurse her back to health, her hand felt and looked so fragile in his he felt like she'd break if he were to add even a little pressure. The more he looked at her the more guilty he felt for being the cause of her condition and putting her at risk.
"Neil, is our child alright?" She asked when she saw the guilt in his eyes and felt his hand flattened on her lower abdomen. She placed her hand against his and waited for his answer, and when she saw him nod his head, a cry of relief escaped her lips. However, it was short-lived when the doctor he'd summoned walked in at that moment before he could say more to her.
