"Tell me, chica, why are you so insecure about yourself and scared every time I raise my hand?"
Hearing his question, Mia's expression closed up and she looked away from him. She didn't like talking about her fears and insecurities as she believed people would make fun of her and call her names.
Though he had stolen her first kiss in the afternoon, she wasn't going to talk about such personal things with him knowing he wasn't going to make her feel any better but worst, just like Owen. Even though Owen was her childhood friend, he never failed to rub it in on her and remind her of how unattractive and abnormal she was. He would always tell her things like; 'No matter how hard you try, Mia, nobody would ever fancy you for your looks. But I don't mind that you are plain, I will forever like you the way you are, even though you have abnormal nightmares and go crazy at the mere thought of rain.'
