Chapter 10 - ch 10 five years later pt 1

"Hey guys, sorry I haven't been able to talk much. I have been getting put through the wringer, and I haven't had much time to think. So onto what you missed. Ever had to chase a juiced-up rabbit? Well, you're lucky because that was my first task. I had to catch a damn silver hare. What makes them so bad? I wondered before I found out they can move at high speed and sense danger straight bullshit. I tell you, at first I tried silently approaching it, but as soon as I tried to attack it, it sped up and Roundhouse kicked my sh*t. Yes, you heard that right roundhouse kick me, then run away as I watched it disappear in a blur. I tried a couple more times, getting kicked each time until I decided I needed to go about this differently."

***flash back rabbit hunting***

" I failed again this is impossible. Why do I have to do this, Dad?" I said annoyed by the constant failure

"let me ask you something son if they are so hard to catch why is there not a massive," he asked in response

"I don't know predators. I'd assume what does that have to do with anything," I answered back immediately.

"All I will say is we can learn from nature; why don't you give it a try?" he said while looking at me quizzically.

After being told that, I just decided to observe the hare to see what would happen, and at first, even after about ten minutes of following it, nothing had happened. That is until I focused a little harder and noticed a fox with fur as dark as coal approach and then pounce on it, biting into its neck before it could even react.

"what but how I couldn't even get near it without it running away," I asked confused

This time I began to study the habits of the foxes. I managed to notice hunting this type of hare, and they had one thing in common: they had a very low presence, even though they should stick out like a sore thumb in broad daylight.

"How are they lowering their presence there must be a trick to it," I asked myself

I watched longer as I saw them succeed time and time with seemingly no activation or use of anima, so how could they be doing it?

'Could it be there, Vita?' I thought to myself before getting into a meditative stance and looking inward at myself.

Looking inside myself, I saw the flowing vita that kept my body kicking and wondered if it was possible to see others. Of course being the idio—I mean, genius I am I sent a small amount of extra to my eyes, causing me to immediately pass out from a bright flash of vibrant emerald light.
