"Dad, I succeeded Look," I said showing him the rabbit
"Well done. Can you tell me how you did it?" he asked me curiously.
I then proceeded to explain what I learned.
"Seems to me you have a high affinity for life force. The only problem is controlling boost, so a change of plans is in order. Come here tomorrow. I have an idea," he told me before leaving to grab something. I had no clue what, but I'm sure I'll know tomorrow.
Going inside to hopefully get mom to cook this, I thought to myself if there were more applications of my abilities, but decided to do that after I wasn't starving.
"Mom, look, I managed to hunt something," I said proud of my achievement.
"Well done, honey, let me cook it for you. You wouldn't want to hurt yourself trying to cook it, and I don't think it's in your father's plans yet," she said while beginning to prepare it.
"Mom, while I have your attention and since I'm going to the academy, can you tell me about Cavea?" I asked because I had always wanted to know more.
"Well, let's see, in the beginning, there was nothing until the twin gods of the mother of life and the father of the soul came together and brought upon the world and created all the creatures of the world, even the dragon." my mom said
"dragons? " I asked extremely concerned
"dragon were the first children of god they were created to watch over the world in the gods absence and at first they did their job" she said before continuing
"But with time, they became drunk on their power, taking advantage of the god's other children; they robbed, massacred, and destroyed our homes. That was until the gods noticed this transgression and gifted us magic, cursing the dragon to become mortal. With this gift, we were able to take back the world and create the kingdom of Mendacium. I think that's enough for now," she said, finally finishing the first part of her explanation and serving me what she had been making the whole time.
