Night Three More turned around with a furrowed brow,
Indeed, those damn paladins again!
Two knights clad in black plate armor stood not far behind him. One was tall, with a grim scar at the corner of his eye, as if bitten by a fierce beast. Yet, his face remained resolute, and his gaze solemn. The other was the one who had just spoken—a young man of around sixteen or seventeen. Despite his youth, he exuded arrogance, standing in a higher position than the larger knight.
Surprisingly, Elder Ling was also here, looking anxious and hesitant.
"Inform the two esteemed Paladin Lords, this is the forest guardian of my Lorran domain, responsible for safeguarding Lorran Forest," Elder Ling signaled Night Three More with a glance and respectfully conveyed to the young man.
Paladin Lords?
Night Three More furrowed his brows.
These were the feared individuals within the Holy Silver Church, comparable to the punishment knights and collectively known as the "Two Martial Arts" of the Holy Silver Church.
In terms of individual strength, the judgment knights far surpassed the punishment knights. They were hailed as the most elite warriors in the Holy Silver Church, existing solely to eliminate enemies of the church.
Judging externally and punishing internally, while other knights were still learning auxiliary Holy Light techniques, they were already honing deadly combat skills. This was evident from the enormous black scythe behind them.
No need for mercy—judgment meant death for them.
But what were they doing here? Could it be...
"Greetings, esteemed lords." Night Three More calmly bowed and let them pass.
"Hmm," the young man snorted and then disdainfully looked at the busy goblins around.
"To command such lowly creatures as a human is truly a waste of your summoner talent!"
Controlling humanoid intelligent summon beasts required a massive amount of mental power. However, from his perspective, Night Three More, who could contract so many goblins, was still just a talent wasted. Contracting a powerful magical beast or a large number of fierce creatures would yield higher combat capabilities than this group of useless green pests.
Yet, standing in his shoes, how would someone whose life revolved around battle and death understand the profound truth that productivity determined combat power?
Night Three More nodded with a seemingly fearful expression. Seeing that Night Three More didn't engage in a verbal dispute with the foul-mouthed young man, Elder Ling breathed a sigh of relief and quickly added:
"Esteemed lords, we found these three sets of Paladin armors inside. The bodies of Chen Yue and Yang Wei are also inside; we didn't dare touch them."
"Lead the way," the young man said coldly.
Elder Ling wasn't responsible for selling the Paladin armors; he couldn't be bothered. At the moment, he just wanted to investigate the cause of Chen Yue and Yang Wei's deaths and apprehend or judge the culprit.
"For over a decade, no one has dared to lay a hand on paladins. This Yang Tian actually dares to be hailed as the youngest Temple Knight. Haha, if it weren't for my inability to participate in the evaluation..."
The young man shook his head, following behind Elder Ling and Night Three More, quickly arriving at the eerie deadwood forest.
A great fire had incinerated everything in Lorran Forest and the Misty Forest, leaving the bodies on the ground intact.
Chen Yue's head was flung to the side, eyes wide open, while Yang Wei's body lay sprawled on the ground, a fist-sized bloody hole in the back of his head, quite horrifying.
The tall judgment knight sniffed and first walked around the surroundings before returning to the young man and speaking in a low voice:
"No signs of living or undead presence."
"Hmm!"
The young man nodded. The man then glanced at the bodies and continued:
"Judging from the wounds, it should be the Spear of Victory. I suspect Yang Tian is the culprit."
"Him?" The young man seemed surprised.
This was getting interesting.
"And where's that cat?"
The man picked up the birdcage on the ground, furrowing his brow as he inspected it for a long time. When Night Three More was starting to feel nervous, he finally shook his head.
"The aura has completely disappeared."
"Worthless!"
"That Yang Tian is worthless!" The young man suddenly erupted.
"Just killing an undead, yet he can't even keep his own younger brother alive, and even that cat..."
After a fierce hum, the young man turned around and walked away.
"Bring the bodies back. Since the suspicion is on Yang Tian, it's a matter for the punishment knights to deal with those stubborn oaks. Let's go!"
The tall man nodded, extending his left palm towards the corpses on the ground. Two black chains buzzed in the air, then slowly bound the bodies, suspending them in mid-air.
It was the signature skill of judgment knights: Authority Chain!
After some thought, the tall man used a cloak to wrap the bodies, preventing the gruesome sight of Chen Yue and Yang Wei from being seen. He then led the suspended bodies like balloons, following the young man.
As for Elder Ling and Night Three More, they didn't even spare a glance.
"Phew, they finally left!" Elder Ling breathed a sigh of relief.
"What were they here for? A fall excursion?" Night Three More asked.
"Fall, your big head! Two paladins died here. Do you think the Holy Silver Church would turn a blind eye? Fortunately, their expressions weren't too accusatory. We're in the clear."
"But is Yang Tian going crazy? He actually killed his own younger brother... Tsk tsk, looks like the Yang family is in big trouble!"
Thinking about the impending storm about to hit the Yang family, which had caused her so much trouble, Elder Ling couldn't help but start chuckling.
As for Night Three More, he watched the trembling Elder Ling, who was holding back laughter, and took two steps back.
"Elder Ling has really gone astray..."
But he had to admire Bede; she was indeed a cunning fox. She had thought about the consequences before taking action, leaving no evidence behind.
However, when he returned to the farm, he furrowed his brow.
Why hadn't those two left yet?
And why was that young man still standing beside Bede?
"Damn! Can it be that cliché?!"
A sense of dread washed over Night Three More. He hurriedly approached and, from a distance, caught the whiff of a sycophantic atmosphere.
"Sister's hair is really well-maintained, looking soft and shiny. I wonder what care methods she uses. Would it be convenient for Brother to teach me?"
The young man, with a radiant face, circled around Bede, brandishing a large scythe on his back. The man behind him, with an indifferent expression, gazed at the scenery.
However, after only a brief glance, he was captivated by the sight of the crops in the stinky farm. This made Night Three More instantly tense.
Because that black cat was housed right next to the farm...
