Chereads / The Strongest Primordial Werewolf / Chapter 12 - Real World Mission

Chapter 12 - Real World Mission

"How long has he been sleeping?" A faint voice could be heard.

"It's been two weeks since the incident and we haven't been able to locate the Demon's trace." Another faint voice could be heard.

"He's awakening! Get Seraph to this tent immediately!" A man shouted.

Looking around, the boy saw Bravo standing in front of his bed while Alpha was sitting to his right.

"It's about time you woke up from your slumber." Alpha spoke.

"What did you learn from the Demon?" Seraph asked, walking inside the tent.

"Demon? You mean my master?" The boy asked.

"Sebastian, don't call that man your master. He is undeserving of such a title especially since he's responsible for millions of deaths throughout the world."

"Huh?! He taught me things you wouldn't be capable of teaching and I've learned many things from him!" Sebastian's voice held anger toward Seraph.

"Brat! I'll kill you, if you continue supporting him!" Seraph responded with anger.

Sebastian began to infuse his fist with his soul energy and appeared beside Seraph. His actions surprised Alpha and Bravo as he had the audacity to attack Seraph.

Bang!

Seraph was sent flying outside of the tent and blood could be seen coming from her mouth. Seeing the blood, Alpha and Bravo were flabbergasted by Sebastian's increase in power.

"Power Augmentation? He taught you that? I didn't even know you were capable of using soul energy." Seraph spoke in disbelief.

"That's only a fraction of the power he taught me about." Sebastian responded with arrogance.

"A fraction of power? Show me another move then."

"I can't, otherwise I'd be going against my promise with my master."

"Then why bring it up?... Alpha take him on a mission and show him what the world is truly like." Seraph said, walking away.

"Sebastian, go grab a weapon from the armory and meet me at the entrance camp" Alpha said.

On his way to the armory, Sebastian saw many numbered individuals in the camp. Everyone in the hounds program was given a callsign but only twenty-six of them would be selected to be lettered.

Arriving at the armory, Sebastian saw many different types of weapons and some of them were unique. Inspecting each weapon, Sebastian found it hard to pick a weapon as each weapon had their pros and cons.

After a while, Sebastian picked a sword that was massive, thick, and long in size. This sword was a greatsword but far more heavier and thicker compared to an ordinary greatsword.

"You sure you want that weapon? All of the past owners have been killed within twenty days of owning it." Blacksmith warned Sebastian.

"Then they must have been weak to wield weak."

"Weak? One of them was S-Ranked and they still died."

"Is that so… This sword is calling out to me so I'll pick it."

"Your funeral." The blacksmith shrugged.

After acquiring the greatsword, he felt an increase in strength and primal urges. A strange line of aura revealed itself and led somewhere else.

"Do you see this?" Sebastian asked, pointing at the line

"Huh? There's nothing there." The blacksmith replied.

Following the strange line, Sebastian arrived at a mysterious shop and a horrible presence was felt inside. Walking inside, the shop was empty and only armor could be seen on their stands.

"Hello? Anybody here?" Sebastian asked.

Looking around even more, Sebastian found that the strange line led to a dark set of armor and the horrible presence was from the armor. Sebastian felt the armor calling for him and approaching the armor, he reached for it.

Slap!

"I'd advise against trying to touch that armor. The armor tightens and small spikes appear when it absorbs blood from its wearer." A man spoke.

'When did he sneak up on me? My senses are always at their max.'

"What are you standing around for? Do you need something?"

"Oh! I was checking out the armor on sale."

"You're looking at the 'Cursed Armor' from the Demon continent. It was said to be crafted by their best blacksmith and to be worn by the Demon King, but their Master Mage went rogue and imbued the armor with a cursed spirit. Once the Demon King wore the armor and went to war, and he died on the battlefield due to the armor's ability."

Processing the information, Sebastian was thinking if he should take the armor or leave it.

"I'll take the armor!"

"Huh? Didn't you hear what I said?"

"Yes, but I want it regardless!"

"Very well. Take it and be on with your day."

Taking the armor, Sebastian put it into a sack and began to walk toward the entrance of the camp. Upon arriving at the entrance, Alpha was leaning against the gate and saw Sebastian incoming.

"About time… Is that the 'Cursed Armor' from Tango's shop?! Are you insane?!" Alpha asked, in disbelief.

"Yep! Pretty cool, isn't it?" Sebastian asked, smiling.

Alpha shook his head and told Sebastian about his mission. When he heard the details, a belligerent smile appeared on his face and cracked his knuckles.

"Let's go! I'm ready to let loose!"

Somewhere in Unknown Territory

"We'd like to take this quest." A boy told a lady.

"This hunt is for ten Mid-Peak E-Ranked Basilisks. Are you sure you want to accept this quest? The five of you are only Mid F-Ranked." The lady responded.

"Don't be looking down at us! With our powers combined, we can take on Peak E-Ranked beasts!"

"I'll be watching over these children as they fight. So don't worry about their safety." The man's eyes flashed red.

The lady handed back the quest and froze still until the group left. The woman resumed her activities while forgetting about the group.

"Foxtrot, why did you have to wipe that woman's memories again?" A girl asked.

"This territory is known for taking bribes and if asked, the woman would expose us to the vampires thus endangering all of you." Foxtrot replied.

"You're strong enough to take them, aren't you?"

"To some extent, yes. If a Primordial Vampire were to show up, then all of us would die."

"Primordial Vampires? Sebastian's a Primordial Werewolf so wouldn't that mean he could go against them in the future?"

"Yes, if he even lives to become strong. Once the vampires learn of another Primordial Werewolf, they'll do everything in their power to ensure his death."

Everyone was baffled by Foxtrot's revelations, if his words were then it meant Sebastian might die in the near future.

"Your emotions surprise me. Although Sebastian harms you, all of you still think of him as a friend and never once hated him. Why?" Foxtrot asked.

"In our village, all of the adults showed their displeasure toward Sebastian and always would find ways to mistreat him. Although it was against our parents' wishes, we befriended him and the entire curse thing was a lie."

"Now that he has power, he probably wants to get rid of everybody that looks down on him and us. He'll probably kill them, if it comes down to it."

While they were talking, a hidden figure was stalking them from afar. The hidden figure pulled out an amulet and began to tell them the information they heard.

One week later

Ahhh!

A loud scream was heard inside a burning village. Many people were running away while a mysterious group continued to slaughter the people.

Thump!

A boy was watching all of this go down and his heartbeat could slightly be heard coming out of his body. The boy's mind was slowly breaking since taking the adventure with his master.

"Help!" A child called out.

The boy was tempted to jump out and save the child but his master stopped him. The master put his hand over the boy's mouth and restrained him.

"You must prioritize the mission over anything else. You'll have to expect this each time you accept a mission as a hound." The Alpha spoke.

Tears were streaking down the boy's face as he saw in horror of the child's fate. The women in the village were only left alive and taken away in a carriage.

"We must follow them, then we rescue them."

"That child… why did they do that?" the boy asked,

"Sebastian, this commonly happens around the world and not many people can do anything about it."

Sebastian didn't like his Alpha's answer and disappeared. Alpha sighed and followed Sebastian to ensure the mission was successful.

"If they arrive at their hideout, can I slaughter them?" Sebastian asked.

"I'll take care of their leader and the higher ranked individuals. You deal with the weaker ones, and if you finish early, free all of the slaves."

Slash!

A single head flew across the camp and gathered everyone's attention. Standing at the front gate, Sebastian was smiling and began walking toward the center of the camp.

"He killed Hank!" A skinny man shouted, charging toward Sebastian.

Slash!

Before the man could comprehend, half of his body was in the air while the other half fell to the ground. Blood began to spurt everywhere and everyone was frozen still.

"Your hands are stained with the blood of the innocents. I will be your executioner and send you to the deepest part of hell."

"Kekeke! Do you think we're easy to kill? Die!" A random man shouted.

The ground began to shake and a massive bone spike broke through the ground. The attack was too slow to hit Sebastian and caused damage to their camp.

"You damn fool! You damaged the camp!" A man slapped the bone user.

Stab!

Sebastian appeared between the two men and stabbed both of them with his claws. The other bandits felt dread as they saw their captains get stabbed.

"You bas-"

Slash!

The two men had their throats slit and blood began to spurt on the ground. This scene lowered the morale of the bandits as seeing how easily their captains were killed, it reminded them that they were weak.

"We'll have to hold him off until the commanders come back! Charge!"

All of them began to charge toward Sebastian and unbeknownst to them, their commanders were already dead.
