Chapter 13 - An elf?

"Congratulations! You cleared your first bandit camp!" Alpha applauded Sebastian.

Sebastian's body was covered in blood and bleeding through his scars. His outfit was destroyed and the marking on his back was revealed to Alpha.

"I'm ready to move and eliminate our next targets." Sebastian spoke with rage in his voice.

"The 'Demon Heir' marking, huh? That one hell of a marking to inherit from the demon."

Putting a scroll on the ground, Sebastian and Alpha were transported back to the Hounds' camp. Everyone in the camp looked toward Sebastian and gazed at his 'Demon Heir' marking.

"Oi! If you have a problem with his marking, then you'll take it up with me!" Alpha declared.

"Abusing your power as the 2nd strongest is prohibited but I'll excuse it for now." Seraph appeared out of thin air.

"We've come to take another mission."

"The boss wants you to become Sebastian's protector during the initiation test. I know it's early but the boss wants him back as soon as possible after the test so Sebastian can reconnect with his friends."

"Boss' orders are absolute."

"Initiation test? That seems fun."

Shaking their heads, Sebastian was knocked out before he knew it.

"Is this even right? We're gonna rob this kid of his childhood while his friends keep theirs."

"Have you come to like him?"

"Somewhat. He reminds me of-"

"Enough… I'd rather not remember that day…" Seraph walked away.

Two hours later

Splash!

Water was doused on Sebastian and woke him up immediately. He was immediately on guard and attacked the first person he saw, which was Alpha.

Slap!

Sebastian was then sent flying into a wall and made a dent of his body into the wall. After falling, he began to inspect his surroundings until his eyes landed on Alpha.

"Where are we?" Sebastian asked.

"Somewhere outside of Werewolf territory." Alpha responded.

"Was it real-"

Ahhh!

Following the loud scream, Sebastian saw a village getting raided by bandits that were more powerful and equipped than the last bandit camp.

"Those bastards." Sebastian's teeth were grinding together.

"I'll let you do the investigation while I watch from afar. If something goes bad, I'll interfere and get rid of the problem." Alpha disappeared.

Walking down the mountain, Sebastian arrived at the pillaged village and began to inspect the weapon markings on the ground, and house walls.

'Hmmm…'

"Alpha! Can't I just charge in?" Sebastian asked, blatantly.

Sebastian didn't receive a reply from Alpha nor did he make an appearance.

"I'll just charge in and get rid of the problem."

Following the tracks, Sebastian arrived at a heavily fortified cave and many men could be seen standing outside. The men were radiating a powerful presence and inside the cave was a larger power.

'I'll just wait until it's nighttime to attack. For now, I'll just watch and see their schedule.'

Twelve hours later

'It's dark enough to attack now.'

Crawling through the bushes, Sebastian arrived at the side of the heavily fortified walls. Sebastian found that the guards would change position every three hours and there was a one minute window to get into the cave.

"Jerry, go notify the next watch to come out."

"Yes sir!"

Once the man was gone, Sebastian made his move and flash-stepped past Jerry, and infiltrated the fortress..

Swoosh!

"You hear that?"

"Relax, it's probably a bird or something."

Looking around the fortress, Sebastian saw many cages with different women and children inside. Some of the women even had scars on their bodies and markings on their necks.

'A slave camp? I'm definitely killing them.'

Sebastian could barely hold back his anger and let some of his killing intent leak. His killing intent didn't go unnoticed as a shadow began to move in on Sebastian's location.

'If I assassinate the leader, it will cause an uproar and they'll fight each other for the leader's position. After they're tired out, I'll walk in and exterminate them.'

Slowly, Sebastian was getting closer to the cave and his urge to attack without stealth was increasing. As he was about to go inside the cave, he felt a knife press against his neck and another knife against his back.

"Who are you?" A girl's voice whispered.

"Your dad." Sebastian smirked.

The girl pressed hard against Sebastian's neck and blood came leaking out.

"The Demon Heir!" Sebastian revealed.

"Demon Heir? What kind of name is that? Nevermind… What are you doing here?"

"Assassination mission."

"Against these lowly thugs? Yeah right…"

"Who are you?"

"Me? Why should I tell you?"

"You would have killed me by now, if you worked for them but it seems like you hold a grudge against them."

"Fine… My name is Chelsea."

"Alright, let's kill the boss and escape while they fight each other."

"You think it's that easy? Their boss is Mid E-Rank and powerful."

Without a thought, Sebastian entered the cave and approached a large door. A guard was guarding two large doors and behind them, noises could be heard.

"He's probably doing something to the women that they captured during their raids."

"Chelsea… you're beautiful…" Sebastian said, mesmerized by her beauty.

"Wait, you're just a little kid!"

"I'm six and you can't be much older than me, if you're weaker than them."

"You're part of the hounds program, aren't you?"

"Yes, and I'm taking my initiation test to become one. You're an elf from the elven kingdom, and you seem to be royalty, seeing your tattoo."

Slap!

"Stay on task!"

Rushing forward, Sebastian equipped his greatsword and the guard reacted by pulling his sword out. Unfortunately, Sebastian's greatsword was proven to be heavier and sharper than the guard's sword.

Slash!

The guard was cut in half vertically and the door behind was slashed open. Rushing in, Sebastian saw a woman pushing away the boss while bleeding through her leg.

"Help me!"

Sebastian jumped in the air and slammed his sword against the boss. Before his sword could connect, the boss stopped the sword and gripped onto the blade tightly.

"Huh? Who dares enter my living quarters!?"

Crack!

Sebastian's greatsword was slowly cracking and his attempt to remove his sword wasn't working.

Stab!

"What?"

Looking down, he saw a girl holding a dagger. The dagger was poisoned as green liquid was leaking off of the dagger.

Stab!

Argh!

Dropping Sebastian's greatsword, the boss looked and saw Sebastian's claw, covered in his blood.

"A Werewolf and an Elf? Your empires did create an alliance!" The boss shouted in anger.

Slash!

Before the boss knew it, Sebastian appeared behind him and slashed his ankles. Falling to the ground, the boss knew his life was over.

Rip!

Sebastian used his claws and dug into the boss' neck, and pulled out his spine and head. The scene caused Chelsea to look away and walk toward the injured woman.

"Are you okay? What's your name?"

The woman remained silent as Sebastian took off his shirt and gave it to her.

"Change of plans. I'm getting rid of all of them!"

The rage in Sebastian's voice couldn't be hidden anymore and his killing intent was everywhere.

"Wait! You can't take them all on by yourself! You'll die!"

"Tch! Worry about her and yourself!"

Sebastian tapped the side of his ear and a black suit of armor came out. This armor was the Cursed Armor and it emitted a strong presence that caused Chelsea to freeze.

Swoosh!

"Boss! Are you okay?!" A man came rushing in.

Looking at the body on the ground, the man recognized him as the boss and shouted as loud as he could.

"Intruders! The intruders killed the boss! I repeat! The intru-"

Slash!

The man was cut straight down the middle and blood spurt everywhere. This proved that Sebastian wasn't in a happy mood but rather an angry mood.

Walking outside the boss' room, Sebastian saw many men blocking the exit out of the cave.

"Did you think you could escape?!"

"All the pieces have fallen into place… Die!"

Sebastian charged forward without a care for his safety and cut down the first person in front of him. He swung like a mad man as he sustained little to no injuries from their attack.

Bang!

A mace had connected with Sebastian's arm and sent him flying into a nearby wall. The damage caused by the mace made the armor break off his arm.

Blood could be seen leaking from Sebastian's arm and slowly disappearing. The armor was absorbing Sebastian's blood and strengthening itself but then tiny spikes began to form.

'The pain… I don't feel it anymore… I feel… more powerful!'

Lunging forward, Sebastian's sword was embedded into a bandit's abdomen. Using his greatsword, Sebastian began to spin and cut everyone around him.

"He's a monster…" The scared woman said.

"No… He said he's the Demon Heir… I remember that term." Fear began to grip the young elf's heart.

"Die! Die! Die! HAHAHA!"

Sebastian's deep crimson killing intent began to turn purple, revealing that he became bloodthirsty and the purple was his bloodlust.

"Run! He's a demon!"

Although the bandits were well equipped, they didn't stand a chance against someone with superior strength that surpassed their own.

"Aura Bomb!"

A massive ball was formed out of Sebastian's aura and slammed into the ground. A few seconds later, the ball exploded and his massive red aura lit up the sky.

'That's the move he used during the tournament…'

The surrounding enemies were slammed into the ground and force behind the red aura was enough to shatter their rib cages.

As the young elf walked outside the cage, there was a large crater and blood was splattered everywhere. This scene made the young elf puke and the woman behind her also puked.

"Well, that was unexpected. I thought you would do it stealthy but you went ahead and alerted everyone of our position. Your highness, could you explain to your royal guard what happened here?" Alpha asked.

"Die!"

"Ah!"

The elf screamed in fear as Sebastian appeared beside her. The armor's appearance was slightly changed as a pair of horns were formed on the helmet of the armor.

Bang!

Alpha's fist slammed onto Sebastian's head and shattered the helmet. Blood began to come out of his head and absorbed into the armor.

"I was joking!"

The tiny spikes became bigger and embedded themselves deeper into Sebastian's body. Alpha took notice and pulled the armor off of Sebastian.

"I thought this armor was made in the Demon Continent. Why did it break so easily?"

"That armor has been known to get weaker without blood. They said it was made out of an Ancient Demonic Dragon's corpse that was millions of years old. Some say its flesh is still alive and evolving as the user gets stronger." Alpha explained.
