"Well, Healer Tian, I would say, Lady Dyna will live for atleast 20 years. As healthy and hail as she was 3 years ago, unless something extreme happens. Would you mind taking a bet?"
"Is she..... Is my wife alright? Is she healed?" The Duke asked shell shocked.
"Yes, your grace. Lady Dyna is completely healed. Once she wakes up, I will give her a few vails of medicine after that a few days of rest and good food is all she needed." Alan smiled warmly.
"Thank you young man. Thank you so much....." The Duke tried to walk forward and hug Alan.
"No your grace, please stop there, I need to wash myself first. And after that you can thank me."
The Duke nodded his head vigorously and informed the maids to prepare water for Alan. The maids bowed to the duke and went outside blushing.
Feeling relieved, Kristna saw Alan for the first time properly after he had taken off his shirt and tunic.
The lean, muscular body simply made her face turn red, her body temperature rising. She had never seen anyone with such a perfect body. Even the Duke looked at Alan feeling a bit jealous.
All of a sudden Alan narrowed his eyes slightly and then relaxed. " Kristina, the head of the person who gave the contract for killing you to Gavin is waiting for you outside with my friend. You can go and collect it."
"What!!! Gavin? Swordmaster Gavin!? He.... He came after you? How did you get away from him?" The Duke looked panicked and searched for any injuries on Kristina.
"I will go and take a bath your grace, Lady Kristina can tell you about the incident clearly." Alan then walked out of the room.
"I am absolutely fine father. It was Alan who delt with Gavin. He.... he just took down swordmaster Gavin with a single strick. Gavin didn't even had any chance." Kristina recalled the complete story with a look of awe and fear on her face.
The Duke was dumbfounded. Gavin, the renowned swordmaster of Delta region who had taken down hundreds of soldiers effortlessly. An invincible man in common man's eye was defeated in one strike!!!! Impossible, how can that be!
He then called his captain for the confirmation. When he got the same answer, he finally believed his daughter's story.
" Alas, the pride, arrogance, lust and greediness made the most capable person into the most fearful tyrant. And the same person was brought down by just an young man in his twenties!!! What a tragedy and an important lesson to be learnt for everyone else, not to let their ego's ruin their heart and mind." Duke Ravenheart thought shaking his head.
"Captain Gregory, Hang Edwin Tigene and his son on the city square for treason and plot against the Duke. Take their entire family into custody. That bastard is the one who made my wife suffer all these years and now wanted to kill her and me too."
Gregory was stunned for a moment but nodded hi head, bowed and went out to do as his buke has commanded.
Fifteen minutes later Alan came back cleaning himself, wearing a white shirt and a brown pant. He had tied his long hair in a ponytail with the help of a leather string looking like a hero of the legends.
His appearance made Kristina and other maids present there staire at him and blush.
He again checked the condition of lady Dyna first and fed her a clear looking liquid.
"She will regain her consciousness after a good night sleep. Please inform the kitchens to prepare some soup by early morning lady Kristina."
"Alan, I don't know how to thank you for everything you did. You had saved all of us."
"No need to thank me your grace. I just did what needs to be done. Besides, you are the one who she be commended for all the noble act you did by helping the adventurers in need."
"It's nothing, I always admire those who fight for right cause and for helping those, a few gold doesn't matter to me. Young man, please rest for the night. We will talk about other matters during our breakfast in the morning. Kristina show Alan his room, and you also go and take rest."
"I have some other matter to take care of, the traitor and his family will be delt with. I will also watch over your mother tonight. "
"Alright father. See you in the morning. " After agreeing, Kristina showed Alan the guest room, bade him good night and returned to her room to rest.
That night Kristina dwveloped a kind of crush on Alan. The next morning when Kristina woke up, the sun was already shining in the sky. Cursing to herself for sleeping in so late she got ready and ran towards her mother's room.
When she went there it was empty. Shocked, Kristina ran towards her father's room and saw that, it was also empty. Panic started to rise in her heart and she walked towards Alan's room and found that, it was also unoccupied. She then ran towards the dining hall to check once and breathed a sigh of relief. The chairs were occupied by her father, Alan and.... Her mother!!!
Dyna's face looked gaunt and her physique thinner that she had ever remember. But she was sitting, drinking soup and very much, ALIVE!!!
Tears started to flow uncontrollably from her eyes. "Mother...!!!!" Kristina sprang towards her mother and hugged her and started to sob harder than she had ever did in her life.
After what seed like a long time, she released her mother and wiped her tears. "Kristina my child. You have grown so much. And you had became so beautiful." Dyna raised her hands slowly and cupped both Kristina's cheeks and kissed her forehead.
They sat together and had a happy meal.
Meanwhile a commotion had started outside the Duke's castle gate.
