Willowbrook, USA:
The early morning sun lit up the quiet neighborhood of Willowbrook. Birds sang, and a gentle breeze rustled the old oak trees. Aiden Thompson, a 70-year-old man, was on his daily walk to the park.
Aiden, a widower, was loved by everyone. Despite his age, he was energetic and always greeted people with a smile. This morning seemed no different as he walked along, thinking about his late wife and their life together.
As he neared a busy street, Aiden saw two young children playing. They were laughing and chasing each other, not paying attention to their surroundings. Aiden's heart warmed at the sight, remembering his own children at that age.
Suddenly, a loud honk shattered the peace. Aiden looked up to see a large truck speeding down the street. The driver was trying to stop, but it was too late. The children, still playing, had wandered too close to the road. Without thinking, Aiden ran towards them.
"Watch out!" he shouted urgently.
He reached the children just in time, pushing them out of the truck's path. The children fell to the ground, safe but scared. The truck hit Aiden, and he fell hard onto the pavement.
Everything slowed down. Aiden felt pain shoot through his body. The truck stopped, and the driver rushed to help him. People gathered, some calling for an ambulance, others comforting the crying children.
Ten minutes later, the area was filled with emergency workers. Paramedics worked quickly to help Aiden, but his injuries were severe. He breathed heavily, his vision blurry. He could hear the children crying and managed a weak smile, knowing they were safe.
The paramedics lifted him onto a stretcher. Aiden's eyes closed as the pain faded and darkness took over. The last thing he heard was the ambulance siren.
Later that morning, a news reporter named Jane Michaels arrived. She stood near the street, looking serious as she spoke into the camera.
"This is Jane Michaels reporting from Willowbrook, where a tragic but heroic event happened today. Aiden Thompson, a 70-year-old resident, saved two young children from an oncoming truck. Witnesses say Aiden's actions were heroic, pushing the children to safety just in time. Sadly, Mr. Thompson died from his injuries. His bravery has touched this community, and he will be remembered as a true hero. Our thoughts go out to his family and the children he saved."
As Jane continued, the camera showed the spot where Aiden fell. People had placed flowers and candles there to honor him. The children, still scared but safe, held onto their parents as they thanked the man who had saved their lives.
In Hospital:
'Sigh, so I died,' Aiden in soul form watched his body being carried out for the last procedure after death.
Even after death, he had no regrets saving the children.
He was an orphan who grew up in a small orphanage. He worked hard all his life, studying diligently and taking on many jobs. He eventually married a kind woman, but they couldn't have children. Despite this, Aiden never let it bring him down. He always donated the money he earned to charity and the orphanage where he grew up, wanting to help others like himself.
Present:
Aiden watched his body being carried away and saw a door appear before him. He thought, 'So, this is the gate of judgment, huh.'
As Aiden walked towards the gate, he turned around, looked at his body one last time, and sighed again. Just as his soul entered the gate, he felt someone grab him. Suddenly, he was carried into a vast white space.
'What the heck? Where am I?' He was panicking. If he still had a body, he would have wet his pants.
In his panic, he heard a voice behind him.
