Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 : The Grand Age of ceremony

In Ceremony hall:

As Aiden entered the ceremony hall with his family members, he noticed several other heroes and their families chatting happily. However, as they entered, the other families stopped chatting and turned their attention towards Aiden, the 8-year-old boy, with curiosity.

Aiden observed their reactions; some faces showed curiosity, some envy, and in one particular family, the Olympians, he noticed glaring faces. Despite being based in Europe, there had always been some tension between their family and his, although they usually didn't show it on their faces.

The actions of this particular family had turned Aiden's past life into a living hell. They had collaborated with outsiders to eliminate his family members during ceremonies, dismantling their business empire and distributing the spoils among themselves. Even during emergency situations, they showed no mercy, aiding in the assassination of both of his family heroes.

The current head of the Olympian family, Arthur, son of the Zeus family hero, relentlessly pursued Aiden across the world, seeking his demise. In the final confrontation, Aiden faced Arthur along with five other assassins, sealing his tragic fate.

Aiden could never forget the moment of his death, the cruel laughter echoing in his ears as they left him alone on his deathbed. The sight of Arthur's smiling face ignited a surge of killing intent within him, but he quickly suppressed it, reminding himself of the importance of today's event.

Aiden vowed 'Olympians laugh all you want but you demise will start with me. I will return 100 fold what you have done to my family in my previous life and show you the hell on earth'

Alexander nodded in approval as he observed Aiden suppressing his killing intent, understanding the underlying tension with the Olympian family. He was well aware of their lineage, descendants of the goddess Nyx, which instilled fear in the Olympians. Unable to confront the Nyx bloodline head-on, they resorted to underhanded tactics, using their influence to suppress the Nightingale family on the Union Council.

Despite having support from other families, including Queen Elizabeth and her neighboring allies, the Olympians had made alliances with Chinese and European heroes, further complicating matters. Queen Elizabeth, renowned for her distaste for egos, harbored a particular disdain for them.

In this way earth heroes divided into two groups

In Olympian sides there are:

Olympians 12 heroes

European 33 heros

Chinese 4 heroes

Egyptian 2 heroes

As for the nightangle family

USA Family 8 heroes

European 5 heroes

Russian federation 7 heroes

Aryavart (Indian) 10 heroes

Japanese royal family 2 heroes

Egyptian 6 heroes

Middle East 1 hero

This lineage-based tension between the Nightingale and Olympian families persisted due to the fear and jealousy surrounding the Nyx bloodline.

Back to story :

"Good evening, everyone. Thank you all for being here to celebrate our great-grandson's coming-of-age ceremony. Please enjoy yourselves while we prepare for the ceremony," Alexander announced graciously to the gathered guests.

"Aiden go make new friends with them while we prepare for the ceremony" Elizabeth said with a smile.

"Yes, your great-grandma is right. We have other tasks to attend to for a smooth ceremony," Selene added, her tone gentle yet firm.

"Ok" Aiden nodded his head while move towards were group of children were chatting.

Aiden noticed Aisha from the Shiva lineage chatting with others, her bright smile lighting up the room. Meanwhile, Rishi from the Krishna lineage was as usual surrounded by a group of admiring girls from different lineages.

Aiden went there and said hello to them.

"Hey, Aisha, You seem to be enjoying yourself tonight." Aiden greeted with a smile as he approached her.

"Hi, Aiden! Yeah, it's always nice to catch up with everyone at these events. How are you feeling about your ceremony?" Aisha replied cheerfully.

Aiden shrugged, a hint of nervousness still lingering. "A little nervous, to be honest. But I'm trying to stay positive. What about you?"

"I'm sure you'll do great," Aisha reassured him.

As Aisha and Aiden chatted, Rishi from the Krishna lineage approached them with a grin. "Hey, what's up, guys?"

"Hey, Rishi, Just talking about tonight's ceremony. Aiden's a bit nervous, but I'm sure he'll do great." Aisha greeted him with a smile.

"Yeah, don't worry, Aiden,You've got this. Plus, it's not every day we get to celebrate someone's coming-of-age ceremony." Rishi chimed in.

Aiden nodded appreciatively. "Thanks, Rishi. I appreciate the support."

"Of course, man, We're all in this together. Just relax and enjoy the moment." Rishi replied, clapping him on the back.

With their encouragement, Aiden felt a bit more at ease, grateful for friends like Aisha and Rishi by his side.

As Aisha, Aiden, and Rishi continued their conversation, Arthur, the heir of the Olympian family, approached them with a cold stare.

"Look who it is, the Nightingale heir, Nervous for your big moment, are you?" Arthur sneered, his tone dripping with disdain.

"I'm prepared for whatever comes my way," Aiden tensed at Arthur's presence, while hiding killing intent . he replied evenly, trying to keep his composure.

Aisha shot a concerned glance at Aiden, while Rishi shifted uncomfortably beside him. The atmosphere around them grew tense as the rivalry between the Nightingale and Olympian families simmered beneath the surface.

"Always trying to play the hero, aren't you? Well, let's see if you can live up to the hype tonight." Arthur retorted, his voice laced with sarcasm.

"I'll do what's necessary, but we are not like you who will use underhanded tricks to resolve our problems" Aiden squared his shoulders, refusing to back down in front of Arthur.

"We do what necessary for dominance" Arthur said With a disdainful scoff, Arthur turned on his heel and strode away.

"Arthur, wait, You talk a big game, but let's not forget who has the real power here." Aiden called out, his voice cutting through the murmurs of the crowd.

Arthur turned back, a smirk playing on his lips. "And what power would that be, Nightingale? Your family's dwindling influence?"

"The power of integrity, Arthur. Something your family seems to have forgotten in their pursuit of dominance." Aiden's eyes flashed with determination as he stepped forward, his voice steady and unwavering.

Gasps rippled through the crowd as Aiden's words hung in the air, challenging the Olympians' perception of superiority. But instead of backing down, Arthur's smirk widened into a cold grin.

"Integrity won't protect you from the consequences of your arrogance, Aiden, You'll learn that soon enough." Arthur sneered.

With that, Arthur turned on his heel once more, leaving Aiden to ponder the implications of their confrontation.

Just as Aiden saw something his mother voice come behind him

"Aiden, let it go, Humiliating them won't solve anything and will only escalate tensions further." Selene insisted, her tone now tinged with concern.

Aiden hesitated, torn between his desire to assert himself and his mother's wise counsel. But the memory of his past life's suffering at the hands of the Olympians gnawed at him, fueling his resolve.

Selene's intervention diffused the immediate tension, but the underlying rivalry between the Nightingale and Olympian families continued to simmer beneath the surface. Aiden reluctantly heeded his mother's advice, choosing to focus on the upcoming ceremony rather than engaging in further conflict.

As the evening progressed, guests mingled and the atmosphere lightened. Aiden found himself surrounded by supportive family and friends, their words of encouragement helping to ease his nerves. Selene kept a watchful eye on him, ensuring that he remained focused on the significance of the occasion.

Meanwhile, Arthur's lingering gaze served as a constant reminder of the animosity between their families. Aiden couldn't shake the feeling that tonight's ceremony would be about more than just his coming-of-age—it would be a battleground where the strength of his family's honor would be tested once again.
