Chapter Thirty-Nine – Don't Fight
Someone knocked on his door. Sorren frowned. Who was looking for him this early in the morning? "If thy must, do come in." A bag was thrown on his bed.
There were souvenirs and Sorren realized who it was. Still, the visit could have waited till later in the morning, unless his brother had something else to say. "Are you back from the date with Jade? How did it go?"
A long sigh left Stefan. "It was great except for a visitor I encountered. Goddess, I really hope you don't meet her ever in your life."
A female that made his brother so regretful? She sounded interesting to Sorren. "There are few people who could torment you, be happy and treasure them."
What was he saying? Stefan glanced at him with lidded eyes. So far, he and Laurel were the only ones who tormented him. He'd like to leave it at that.
