Chapter Forty-Four – Tears
Jessika held her chin, tightly. The meal was made by Lady Jade? She had no idea. Now, she had offended the future Luna. "I'm done for. Master Darren, please save me." Jessika cried inwardly.
"I'm sorry, Lady Jade. I didn't know."
Another slap was landed on her face and Jessika winced in pain. Was her mistake so grave that she'd be hit again?
Jade raised her hand to hit her again. "Jade." she paused.
"You'd make the cooks dislike you. Come, sit with me." Stefan said, looking at his food uninterestingly.
Jade sighed before sitting with her fiancé. Jessika stared at the two. Was she saved? She bowed.
"Thank you, Alpha Stefan." She grabbed her tray and ran away. Outside the Alpha's quarters, she rubbed her face gently while sniffing. "I don't think… I don't think…"
