Chereads / CONTRACTED TO BEAR THE ALPHA’S HEIR / Chapter 15 - Soon-to-be-husband

Chapter 15 - Soon-to-be-husband

Both Phillip and Angel turned to see who it was, and it turned out to be Andras. Angel's expression went from normal to happy after spotting Andras.

Walking up to him, she unknowingly grabbed his hand in worry and dragged her gaze across his body for any injury. When she didn't see any, she sighed in relief and said, "I am sorry for not helping you, he wouldn't listen to me." She apologized for not getting him out of the dungeon sooner if only she had the power.

That thought of being maltreated here again bugged her, but she was determined to get what she deserved no matter what. After all, she was going to bear the future heir of the pack.

"It is enough that someone cares, I am fine. You, on the other hand, don't look too good. Did he bully you?" Changing the topic to ease her mind, he asked.

"No, I am fine. Everything has been going so great," she lied, but Andras was not easily deceived by her lies.

"That can only happen if you manage to get rid of his concubine," he teased and she burst into laughter.

"That's an impossible mission," she answered, causing Phillip to cough.

"Looks like we have the concubine's brother here, let's not talk too much." Glancing at Phillips, Andras disclosed.

Surprised, Angel turned to look at Phillip and felt bad for him. He was such a good beta but had a selfish sister. Well, she hoped he wouldn't ask her to understand Juliet, because she would never do that.

"I…" interrupting her, "My lady, I am not demanding anything, my sister can be frustrating and I know. I just hope you work it out with the Alpha," he said and Angel was grateful for his response.

"Work what out with me?" Speaking of the devils, Apha Fernando and Juliet walked in hand in hand. Angel looked away before the mate bond got the best of her.

"I see you are getting along well," staring down at Angel's hand that was grabbing Andras's hand, Fernando commented.

"Likewise," acting unbothered, Angel retorted and smiled at him.

Fernando could not believe her audacity, she was his mate, what gave her the right to fornicate with any man? Though he did state in the contract, but that was after his heir was secured, what was she doing?

The atmosphere grew silent, and Juliet took it as an opportunity to spike Fernando, "Andras, you are finally out of the dungeon. It is so good to see you, I hope you didn't leave your senses in the dungeon. Lady Angel here has a mate," she said, wanting to start a fight between the two brothers.

"Juliet!" Scolding, Phillip called.

"What?" She retorted and eyed him.

"Thanks for your concern," knowing what she was getting at, Andras replied and turned to face Angel, "Shall we?" Asking.

Angel nodded her head and they both excused themselves from the scene, leaving two agitated beings behind.

"No one needs a reminder that she is my mate," turning to face Juliet, he warned and yanked her hand away from his arm.

"Fernando!" Realizing she had only implicated herself, she called and was about to run after him when Phillip stopped her from moving.

"Let him be for now," he said.

"Out of my way brother, you don't tell me what to do." She snarled at him, her nails elongating to defend herself.

"Trust me, you don't want to fight with me." He said and they both stared at each other, words swirling in their gazes but their mouths were closed.

"So where are we headed?" Andras asked as they walked around the pack house.

"The governess said the previous Lunas could cook, I want to learn basic skills at the least." She answered and Andras nodded in acknowledgment. It was a good idea to learn how to cook first, she would need it whenever charity came up in the pack.

"There is someone I know with crazy skills, she will be just the best teacher for you," Andras said and Angel grew enthusiastic. Just when she thought she would have to beg one of the cooks in the pack house, her problems were already solved.

"She lives in town, would you love to leave the pack house?" Andras asked and Angel didn't hesitate to say yes. She had been wanting to leave the pack house but Suzanna said it wasn't allowed, which she found strange.

"Then let's get you ready…" cutting him off, she said, "There is no need for that, I am all set." To avoid being stopped, in case she stumbled upon Suzanna.

"Ohhh alright," finding it weird, Andras just smiled it off and agreed with her and they set off into town.

A few minutes later, they arrived at an old house that looked abandoned. For a minute, Angel was beginning to question if they were at the wrong location until they walked in and she was given the shock of her life.

Never judge a book by its cover, the saying was right. The outside looked rough but the inside was majestic and full of life.

There were beautiful lights arranged around the walls of the house, and little kids were roaming about the house. They all looked happy, and for some reason, Angel felt a spark from the children. She imagined having her own and playing all day long with her child.

It couldn't be that bad, could it? But remembering the agreement, she quickly warded off the thought and focused on her mission.

"Andras, is today a good day? What a surprise visit," a short, blonde woman with beautiful dimples came into view and hugged Andras. Judging from her approach, they were related.

"And who is this?" With an eager look, the woman asked.

"Our future Luna, Lady Angel." Introducing her, Andras said and the woman gasped in shock. But that shock was mixed with fear and Angel could feel it. What is wrong? Why did it look like the woman was being careful?

"He doesn't know she is here," Andras assured her and Angel was trying to pair the puzzles together. Could he be Fernando?

"Angel, this is my mother. Your soon-to-be husband's biggest enemy,"
