Javier finished the call, the lines of worry etched on. As he opened the hospital door, he saw Helen, who was standing there.
"Hi," Helen nervously greeted.
"What are you doing here?" Javier inquired, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"I overheard your call, and if I tell you, I know how she got the accident; would you believe me?" Helen questioned, as she stared deep into his eyes.
Javier was taken aback by Helen's words, confusion etching across his face.
"What do you mean?' he questioned.
"I...am afraid. If I tell you..." Helen's voice trailed off, her gaze dropping, and she tentatively placed her hand on his arm. "Will you protect me?"
Javier yanked her hand away, growing more impatient. "Will you speak up or not?" he demanded.
"I will speak up, but I am very scared of what that person will do to me if I tell you," she admitted. "So, you have to promise me you will protect me."
