Javier entered the room, and his sudden presence got Helen startled. He never expected he would come back so soon.
He narrowed his eyes at her.
"What are you doing here?"
"I...I am here to see Yvonne," she stammered. "Look at the way she is laying so lifeless," she continued, her voice quivering as if on the verge of tears.
But before any tears could fall, Javier cut her off.
"Get out," he ordered.
"Why are you so mean to me?" Helen protested. "Was it because I was going to help her escape? Why are you stopping me from seeing her?"
Javier's patience was wearing thin. He stepped closer, his tone firm. "I don't want you here for now; just leave."
Helen hesitated for a moment, then, with a scowl, she left the room, shooting a glance at Javier before slamming the door behind her. Javier sighed and sat down.
His phone rang, and Javier glanced at the screen, revealing his mother's name.
