The sunset was shimmering letting the gloomy grey clouds reflect the scenery. Sitting on a park bench was a boy staring at the sky blankly. The boy wore a simple chained necklace with a dog tag. The dog tag had the name, Cole, in the center. In his right hand was a Samsung galaxy phone, the screen was cracked, and had a purple galaxy case. The boy had the phone placed against his right ear, casually listening to the yelling on the other side of the phone. In just a swift moment, he hung up the phone.
the boy walks into the house right next to the one that holds my past and my future. the boy doesn't come out even after I start to the door of my future. the next morning Cole comes to the cafe that beholds my life he orders a mocha latte and a crispy flaky croissant with a delicious scent of melted butter.
Cole smelt of coconut and pineapple as he struggles to find his change he stares into my deep emerald eyes. He puts his change on the counter and the dust bunnies flew in the breeze of the open door. He gets his receipt, and he smiles with his glowing white teeth, and I can't help but stare as he leaves the store but not before he stops and gives a homeless man a 20-dollar bill.
That night I walk home in the blistering cold in the dark stary night. Cole comes to my side and starts a very random conversation he tells me to not freak out and that he was protecting me from a man. he talks and talks, and I can't help but stare into his deep dark eyes as we walk to the same destination. his light was on, and the door was open we searched for a while but didn't find anything. "Can I stay at your place for tonight I will be gone before you know." he says yawning and waiting for a response.
