As he waited to hear an answer, he sat with a blank stare on his face almost as if he had seen a ghost. The answer I gave was a leaping surprise "of course I would not leave you alone in the streets." As my sleep drifted, I heard my door creak open as Cole studently came in and asked if we could talk. As he's petting my German Sheperd he asked if I was in love with him and I sat sitting quietly as if I couldn't answer.
I sat blankly staring past him at the only painting I had of my dear little sibling. he continued to ask the question and after the fifth time he had asked I gave an answer "yes" he looked at me with shock in his eyes. I continued to stare at his beautiful blood red plumped lips after a long while of talking he grabbed my hand.
I felt butterflies in my stomach as he leaned in and I could smell the whiskey in his breath, he leaned in grabbed my waist as I could hardly breath, he said that he was there for me, and that he is always next door. He leaned in and kissed my glossed lips his cheeks Glew in a bright red way. He said that I was the only star in the night.
He asked if he could stay in bed with me "yeah sure" it slipped out of my mouth like a cannon he got comfortable and wrapped his arms around me as he started to hum. I felt safe and like nothing could hurt me until the morning when he was already out the door but not before he made me a cup of chai and a bagel.
I sat in bed and found myself thinking of the great night we had we got personal and saw the big picture in what I was talking to him about. I talked to him for hours while we were laying alone, I told him about me being a traveling artist and that I was here to stay.
