The Major saw his eyes shift to a camera, and instantly his mind made the connection.
"Laani. Lock down all surveillance systems. No one has eyes on this ship, not even the doctor. Every checkpoint on this ship falls into manual mode, with wristwatch scans. Enter emergency level red."
The next moment, the doors everywhere started closing again, and red lights that had barely stopped flashing went back on. Henry understood his course of action but doubted it would change anything.
"Sir, if I may, I don't think Dr. Levington should stay on the ship anymore. Can you cancel the warping order?"
The Major looked at him with sharp eyes.
"I would if I could. But we are about to plunge. There is nothing more I can do. But I fully intend to send her off board the second we reach our next star field. If we can make it there, that is."
Henry understood the tone he took. There was a genuine threat of the ship never reaching the next warp point.
