"I should have been there to protect you myself." He brought a spoonful of warm soup to my lips and I gulped it down. I wanted to tell him it was fine, that he shouldn't blame himself for whatever had happened. At least his brother did not get his way with me, but I couldn't utter a sound.
I hated that I had gone dumb after Dalton's attempt to kill me. I pointed at my throat again while Evren brought the spoonful of soup to his lips to blow the heat away.
"He almost damaged a nerve, but you'll be fine." He said again and I nodded gulping down another spoon of warm soup. A little dripped down my lips and before I could lick it out Evren did. His tongue swiped my lips swiftly turning my cheeks warm.
"Evren."
"What?" He asked so innocently like he hadn't just licked my lips.
