Chapter 1

"Hey best friend, heard about your grade in algebra" that was Paxton telling Jessica also called Jess, his best friend.

"Nice one girl" he also said

As Jessica walked home, she thought about her social life, having just boys as best friend. Well she was not like this before she had two female friends and an entourage of female friends, this all ended when her best friends went to another school, she became less confident about herself.

"Hey mom". She greeted

"Hi Jess". Her mom replied

"What are you cooking?"she asked

"Spaghetti and meatballs, go freshen up then come downstairs so you can eat". her mom said

Jess immediately went upstairs to take a bath. When she came out of the bathroom, she noticed she had a from Paxton on her phone.

"Hey little J, you're still coming to Will's birthday party right?". The message read.

"Oh no I totally forgot about the party"Jess said loudly. While eating, she thought of a suitable lie that would get her to the part.

"Mom, I'll be sleeping at vinnie's house".

"Why? and who's Vinnie?".

"My friend, I have a chemistry test tomorrow".

"Jessica Davies, you do not have any female friends, so what is going on?".

"Nothing mom".

"Jessica I'm asking for the last time, what is going on?".

"Okay I lied, Will is having a party today and I must attend".

"We'll go ahead, go to the party but you are grounded for lying".

"But mom....".

"How long?" Jess asked

"For a week".

Her mom was so angry that she could not eat again so she decided to head to her room.

"Do not forget to wash the dishes". She said before she left.

"Mom was not this mean, this really surprised me" jessica thought in her head.

"Only if my superman was her this wouldn't have happened". She said.
