Chapter 41 - Chapter 40: War For Eostia (2)

Ark One: Fate of Eostia Part Twenty

(Back With Typhon)

Despite outnumbering the young Lunarian four to one, getting a power boost, and having good coordination, Andras had to admit the boy was holding his own relatively well if not outright kicking their asses.

It was frankly infuriating and humiliating, but the demon couldn't help but respect the teen. Power was everything within demon society, and their opposition had that in spades. What made it more ridiculous was that they weren't even facing a fully matured Lunarian but an adolescent one who hadn't even reached the peak of his potential.

Andras could only imagine the sheer potential of the boy, and the demon could admit that if the boy was allowed to grow, he could potentially surpass the might of the King of the Underworld. It was a bold claim but true nonetheless, as Andras had never been wrong before. He had a talent for spotting anyone with potential and estimating how far that potential could go.

Thus, Andras knew that letting the Lunarian live was out of the question. He needed to die, and his death had to be today. The only problem with achieving that was that the boy was too stubborn to die and wouldn't allow them to gain an edge in their battle.

Sending one of the first officers crashing into the battlefield, Typhon then quickly turned around to block an attack from the second officer and pushed him back so that he cut through their armor, leaving behind a deep vertical slash that started from the should and ended below the abdomen causing significant amounts of blood to spill out.

The second officer let out a cry of agony before descending to the ground. Seeing their comrade get grievously injured sent Andras and the third officer into a rage, and both charged at the Lunarian with murderous fury in their eyes.

Andras swung his ax at Typhon's head. However, the Lunarian ducked, narrowly avoiding getting decapitated, and then soon after deflected an attack from the third officer before decking Andras in the face with a swift elbow strike, which sent the demon stumbling back.

Typhon then shot a stream of fire toward the third officer, who promptly dodged it. However, he was unable to evade the second stream. The demon let out a scream of agony as the divine black flames consumed his flesh, and within a matter of seconds, the third officer was no more.

"NOOOOOOO!!!" Andras screamed, his voice filled with anguish, rage, and horror. He looked at the Lunarian with pure hatred in his eyes. "YOU MOTHERFUCKER I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!"

Moving toward the Lunarian at surprising speeds, Andras managed to land a blow to Typhon's head, sending him crashing to the walls of Feoh, with the impact being significant enough to crack the crystalized wall.

The Lunarian descended to the ground but quickly recovered before he could crash. Typhon glared at Andras and went to go and return the favor, but his danger senses went off, and with a mind of its own, his hand shot forth and grabbed the first officer's sword by the blade before it could pierce his neck.

Glaring at the weaker demon, Typhon grabbed it by the throat and looked at Andras with a sadistic smirk as he gave the first officer the same treatment as the third officer and set him ablaze. Seeing another one of his men turned into nothingness by the Lunarian's divine flames further enraged Andras, and he went to go and rip the teen apart.

However, before he could do that, a massive crystalline pillar burst from the ground and slammed into his abdomen, sending him flying rapidly into the sky. Within a few moments, Typhon was beside the demon and grabbed him by the throat, stopping his ascension. The Lunarian increased his grip around Andras's windpipe while looking the demon straight in the eyes with the same sadistic look he had when killing the demonic being's officers while also giving him a smug smile that made its blood boil.

Andras attempted to retaliate, but Typhon's flames severed his ax-wielding hand. The demon grunted in pain at having his hand but off, but despite losing his weapon, he still had some fight within him. Screaming as much as he possibly could, he dug his thumb into the Lunarian's left eye, causing excruciating pain for the teen.

"Fuck!!!!!!" Typhon's grip on the demon's throat loosened for a moment before it increased tenfold, and the demon's last remaining hand was severed from its body. Looking at the demon's murderous glint with his single eye, he growled. "Die..."

Andras's entire body was engulfed in flames, and unlike the others, his death wasn't quick, as Typhon wanted to make his death slow and as painful as possible.

Thus, for the next few minutes, all that could be heard from forty-five thousand feet in the air was the spine-chilling guttural screams of Andras. After his anger subsided, Typhon ended the demonic commander's life, and moments later, the ashes of Andras were within the Lunarian's grasp.

Scoffing, the teen threw the ashes and flew back to the surface. With most of the obstacles out of his way, Typhon began wiping out large chucks of the demonic army as soon as they appeared within his vision.

(With Kushina)

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Kushina and Page are dealing with the last two officers of the demonic legion, with Kushina facing the fourth officer while Page is dealing with the fifth officer.

The redhead was doing well against her opponent as she had an overwhelming combative, power, and physical advantage over the demon, while the latter was because it could produce force fields and instantly teleport just in case its defenses were broken.

On the other hand, Page was relatively equal with his opponent, with the latter's only advantage being it could teleport like his commander and fellow officers.

"Stop Running Away Like A Little Pussy!!!" Kushina roared at the demon, who kept teleporting away every time she was inches away from killing it.

Kushina was pissed off that she and her "friend's" killing intent was leaking out in massive quantities causing nearby enemies to be rendered unconscious, and her beautiful red hair was split into nine parts that swayed from right to left furiously.

To make things worse for the opposing side, the redhead summoned massive golden chains to kill the fourth officer. The chains moved around rapidly and unpredictably patterns with each movement, no matter how small, killing hundreds upon hundreds of demons in a single swoop.

"AND LET YOU KILL ME?!!! FUCK THAT!!! THERE'S STILL SO MANY CUNTS THAT I HAVEN'T TRIED OUT YET AND IM NOT GOING TO LET YOU TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME!!!" The fifth officer retorted before teleporting behind the redhead and shooting a hellfire missile at her.

Before the attack could reach the redhead, one of her golden chains popped out of the ground and smacked the ranged attack away.

Kushina turned around, glaring daggers at the demon, making the latter shiver in fear. Several more golden chains appeared from the ground and attempted to strike the officer, but unfortunately for the redhead, the demon teleported again, but this time it was above her.

Looking up, Kushina snarled. "When I get my hands on you, I'm gonna rip off you're nearly nonexistent cock and shove it up your ass!!!"

[SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!!!]

Getting tired of the demon's bullshit, the redhead summoned over a thousand clones of herself to assist her, and together, the army of Kushina lunged at the pesky demon. The sight of so many copies of the same person nearly causes the officer to have a heart attack.

Knowing he'd be screwed if he didn't use his most powerful attack to counter the redhead, he'd be dead. The demon reluctantly conjured the largest and most potent fireball he could create. This attack would no doubt wipe out many of his brethren, but the possibility of killing the deadly female and the shapeshifting male was a chance he couldn't let slip away.

The demon aimed the colossal fireball at the horde of clones, and he released his attack and watched as it created a massive fiery explosion when it made contact with the small army.

As predicted, the demonic officer's attack took out a large chunk of their forces, much to his dismay, but any guilt he felt was pushed to the side as there were much bigger things to worry about than it.

The officer scanned the area for the troublesome human female's life signature, and when he didn't sense it, the demon smiled with satisfaction and internally celebrated.

"Thank fucks she's dead. It would've been nice to have her as a pet, but oh well. What was that human saying again?" the officer thought momentarily before snapping his finger. "Ah, now I remember! There's plenty of fish in the sea," he chuckled lightly.

However, he celebrated too early as he felt his supposedly dead opponent's life signature behind him. The demon was about to teleport but was too slow to react as he felt the unwanted sensation of pain.

Shakily and slowly looking down, the demonic officer saw a sword made out of crystals sticking out of the middle of his chest, and it was covered in his blood. The officer coughed out blood, and its eyes up and closed rapidly as the feeling of life was draining out of its body.

However, before he could succumb to his injuries, he felt the heat of the redhead's breath brush against his ear.

"Ah ah ah ah~" the woman giggled, her voice sounding deep, guttural, and distorted. "You're not getting off that easily~" the demon began to get paler, and it wasn't from the rapid blood loss.

(With Page)

Out of sheer luck, Page managed to land a direct blow on his opponent with his tail. The demonic officer was sent flying across the battlefield, and when it crashed, the impact killed dozens of its brethren.

Not wasting any time, the male Oni charged toward his opponent before they could recover while bulldozing through the horde of demons attempting to kill him, but their attacks did nothing to slow him.

Once the Devil Fruit user was within range of his prey, he leaped toward the demon and landed on the officer. The impact of Page's landing destroyed the ground beneath him, and the demon directly underneath the Oni's feet experienced an immeasurable amount of pain.

If it weren't for its healing factor and demonic physiology, the officer, without a doubt, would've been dead. All its broken bones and damaged organs rapidly regenerated to their original state.

"Get the fuck off me!!!!" The demon, using its immense strength, pushed the transformed Page off him, much to the latter's surprise.

Page, while surprised, managed to stop himself from falling to the ground and turned to glare at his opposition. Transforming into his hybrid form, the Oni let out a roar before charging at the Demon.

The demon met his charge, and when they neared one another, Page lunged at the latter, tackling the officer to the ground. Sitting on top of the demon, the Pain began to rain down a fury of punches on his opponent while all the latter could do was weave or block the former's attacks.

However, that soon ended when the officer found an opportunity to escape his current predicament. As Page fist was hearing the demon's face, the latter quickly grabbed it and yanked it, causing the Devil Fruit user to lend toward the officer, which ended with him getting a nasty head butt, stunning him momentarily.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the officer pushed the Oni off him and landed a devastating haymaker, further stunning the shifter. Unfortunately, it didn't end there as the demon landed blow after blow, not allowing him to recover in any way.

Then the demon grabbed Page by the face and slammed his face into the latter's knee. Straight after getting his face caved in, he received another head butt for good measure before being body slammed.

"Fuck..." Page groaned in pain.

The Zoan user attempted to get up, but his opponent's foot met his face, and after that, he knew he was done for. While Page was no slouch, he was nowhere near his sisters in strength, much less the others, and his combative ability was average at best as he tended to over-rely on his Devil Fruit to win his battles.

However, before the demon could land the finishing blow, it was decipated by a blood-covered Kushina. Pushing the headless demon to the side, the redhead helps the teen get back on his feet.

"You good?" Kushina asked.

"Y-Yeah, my head just hurts," Page replied. "Thanks for the save."

Kushina nodded. "No problem."

After killing the last of the officers, what was left of the demonic legion retreated from the battlefield as the death of their leaders was felt, thus giving the Shield Alliance the victory.

(With King)

"Is this all you Lunarians have to offer?" The Prince of Lust asked the Lunarian mockingly before connecting his fist to Kings face, sending the man crashing to the ground. "How pathetic. Your ancestors gave me more of a challenge. They'd be ashamed of what the remnant of their descendants turned out to be. Truly, I'll be doing them a favor by eliminating you and the boy."

At the mention of Typhon, King let out a feral growl, appearing in front of Asmodeus instantly, and swung his blade at the demon prince, who promptly blocked his attack and smiled smugly underneath his helmet.

"You keep him out of your mouth!" Divine flames erupted from King's body in an attempt to turn the powerful demon into ashes.

Unfortunately, Asmodeus was too resourceful to use such a simple maneuver and surrounded his body with a magical barrier. The barrier surrounding Asmondeus shimmered brightly as King's divine flames quickly covered the demon's protected body.

"Oh?" Asmodeus quirked an eyebrow in amusement at the Lunarian's response. "Did I strike a nerve?" He laughed at King mockingly, causing the latter to growl.

He pushed the Lunarian back and lunged at him with his blade, aiming toward the latter's heart. King used the flat side of his blade to block the demon's attack.

When the tip of the latter's sword made contact with his own, it slightly pushed him back. The Lunarian expertly swatted the demon's blade to the side and thrust his blade towards Asmondeus's face.

Asmodeus quickly backed away and sent a barrage of magical projectiles towards the Lunarian, who dodged the projectiles with ease, and whatever he couldn't evade, he swiftly deflected them back at his opponent.

Returning the favor, Kings, while closing the distance between him and Asmodeus, sent a wave of incendiary beams that exploded upon making contact.

The demon, sensing the danger the projectiles possessed, evaded them. However, as Asmodeus and King closer the distance, the latter surprised the former with a devastating flame-clad fist to the chin, stunning him momentarily.

King, not relenting on his assault, landed another blow to the demon's face right before he swung his blade at the latter's head. Despite being protected by a barrier, the latter still felt the impact of the Lunarian's attack and was sent flying and crashing into a mountain soon after.

Wanting to ensure his opponent stayed down permanently, King used the most powerful attack in his arsenal and increased its destructive capabilities by imbuing the attack with the divine magic imbued from his sword. Ascending into the sky, the Lunarian coats his entire body in divine flames before flying in a circle, creating a gigantic whirl of fire.

[TENRAI OMORI KARYUDON!!!]

He then shot off from the center, a massive fire beam that soon turned into a gigantic dragon that descended upon the Prince of Lust while also causally destroying the landscape around them due to the immense heat the flames produced. After recovering from the blows sent toward his head, Asmodeus's eyes widened to saucers when he saw the fire dragon approaching him.

[DEMONIC DEFLECTION!!!]

With a wave of his hand, Asmodeus sends the attack back at the Lunarian, shocking the latter. Quickly, King canceled the powerful attack before it reached him. Asmodeus appeared with his weapon at the ready when the gigantic fire dragon evaporated.

King quickly deflected the attack and countered the demon with a strike of his own. The two traded blow after blow, with neither gaining significant advantage over the other for quite some time until Asmodeus extended his arm too far, allowing King to disarm the demon and elbow him in the face, causing the latter to stumble backward.

The Prince of Lust recovered just in time to duck, narrowly avoiding getting his head decapitated. The demon extended his hand forward, and an invisible force set the Lunarian skitting several meters back. In retaliation, King fired hundreds of fire beams at the demon prince.

Asmodeus, while evading or deflecting the Lunarian's projectiles, made his way to recover his weapon. However, King was several steps ahead of him as he sent a fire beam toward the sword, and when it made contact with it, it was sent flying away before Asmodeus could reach it.

The demon let out a growl and glared hatefully at the Lunaran. With another gesture, Asmodeus sent another invisible force crashing into King, but unlike the previous attack, this one sent him flying.

[DEMONIC TRACKING MISSLE!!]

Another gesture sent several hundred beams of demonic energy toward the Lunarian. Asmodeus then went to recover his weapon before the Lunarian could return.

Meanwhile, with King, he soared through the forest, crashing through an untold number of trees, but eventually, he stopped himself from going any further. Descending to the ground, the Lunarian took a quick break to catch his breath.

It had been a long time since anyone had been able to give him a proper challenge, and because of that, he had become a bit rusty. Other than that, though, the Lunarian had never felt more alive as, for once in his life, he didn't have to hold back.

It was a shame that his opponent was a demon and mortal enemy of the Lunarian race. Asmodeus would've been an excellent sparing partner. The Lunarian was brought out of his thoughts when he saw hundreds of energy beams heading straight for him.

His danger senses screamed at him, warning him to avoid getting hit by the projectiles, so trusting his intuition, the Lunarian took off into the sky with the projectiles hot on his trail at alarming speeds.

King gracefully avoided getting directly hit by the energy beams, although a few did manage to make contact as they brushed against his wings, burning them slightly.

King automatically blocked Asmodeus's sword from impaling him, sensing danger from below him.

"Will you just die already!" Asmodeus snarled before trading blows with the Lunarian.

Not bothering his opponent with a response, he battled against the demon prince while avoiding the energy beams that came at him relentlessly. It continued like this for several minutes until King found a slight opening in Asmodeus's defense, which he quickly took advantage of, disarming him in the process.

Unfortunately for the Lunarian, he was tackled before he could capitalize on his unarmed opponent, and both powerful beings were sent crashing into the ground with the latter on top of him. Before he could move an inch, Asmodeus landed several devastating haymakers on him, stunning him. However, the Lunarian managed to kick the demon off, and he quickly but unsteadily stood back up.

However, Asmodeus didn't allow him to raise his guard as he quickly closed the distance and continued his relentless assault. King attempted to fight back and swing his sword at the demon prince, but the latter grabbed the Lunarian's wrist and twisted it, causing the King's grip to loosen, dropping his sword.

The Lunarian disarmed Asmodeus, struck him in the jaw with his fist, then grabbed him by the head and slammed his knee into the man's face. Asmodeus retaliated by landing a haymaker, then kneeing the Lunarian in the groin.

After that, another two devastating haymakers and a spinning kick to finish it, causing the Lunarian to stumble back. The demon prince then went in for a push kick, but King caught his foot in less than a second and glared at Asmodeus.

"My turn," he growled.

The Lunarian swept the demon's free leg, causing the Prince of Lust to fall on his back, and twisted the demon's ankle, making the latter let out hiss of pain. Asmodeus attempted to kick King off of him, but the Lunarian caught his other foot.

Instead of twisting it, King lifted the demon over his shoulder and slammed him to the ground. King repeated this action, and when he was done, he dropped the demon in favor of stomping on his a few times before getting on top of the latte.

The Lunarian tore off the demon's helmet, exposing the Prince of Lust's face. The demon's face was exactly what the Lunarian expected, a face not even a mother could love.

Tossing the demon's helmet aside, King began to land blow after blow on Asmodeus's face. Haymaker after haymaker landed, causing large amounts of blood to splatter on the grass.

King was relentless in his assault, as every time Asmodeus attempted to defend himself or switch positions, the Lunarian would become more aggressive, his striking speed and power would increase, and his relentlessness would become even greater.

He wanted the demon to feel as much pain as possible before ending its miserable existence, as this fight was both a thrill and personal. Not only was Asmodeus, along with his kind, one of the groups responsible for the near extinction of the Lunarians, but his very existence threatened his family's safety.

If he lost this fight, Typhon, his grandson, and unborn grandson, would, while Uta, his granddaughter, and unborn granddaughters, would be turned into lifeless objects for disgusting, irredeemable cowards to unleash their twisted, lustful desires on.

King wouldn't allow that to happen; they were the only connection to happiness and family he had left, and he wouldn't let some otherworldly being take that from him.

He refused to lose another family...

King's fist connected to the demon's, causing teeth and blood to spill out of his mouth. Panting heavily, King got off of the barely conscious Prince of Lust and went to receive his sword.

With his blade in hand, the Lunarian approached Asmodeus and pressed the tip of his sword against the demon's unprotected neck. Despite being in a daze, Asmodeus looked the Lunarian in the eyes and let out a small chuckle.

"Seems like I was wrong..." He said, smiling bitterly at his loss to the Lunarian. "You're certainly powerful, even more so than most of your ancestors... I underestimated you. A mistake I won't ever make again."

King quirked an eyebrow at the demon. "You make it sound like you're getting out of this alive," he pricked the demon's skin with his blade, causing a small trickle of blood to come out.

"Thats because I am," he chuckled ominously, making King uneasy.

Asmodeus then said something in a language that the Lunarian could not understand. King's sense of danger went off, but he couldn't react fast enough as he was hit by an invisible force that sent him tumbling.

"Holy shit..." King cursed when he got back up and saw what was before him.

Asmodeus was at the end of his transformation, and he was even larger, uglier, and even more demonic in appearance than before.

The Prince of Lust was currently four times the size of King; his armor was gone, replaced with a red exoskeleton with spikes protruding out, he had massive bat-like wings, and his lower half was similar to that of a goat. Two long red horns protruded from his skull, his golden eyes were ominous glowing yellow, lacking pupils, and his mouth was open, exposing razor-sharp teeth.

Asmodeus spoke, and it sent chills down the Lunarian spike. "Since you gave me such a good fight, I'll grant you the privilege to fight me in my true form," he let out an ominous chuckle.

End.
