After finishing her meal, Leanor dismissed Alice and Raina, and walked out of the hall.
She stopped at the Academy back gate, enveloped by towering trees and vibrant shrubs.
Sighing, she settled on the grass, absentmindedly picking up stones and hurling them into the bush.
Her mind wandered back to her days in middle school and then back at Gifted Academy.
Gifted Academy, a world- famed institution for werewolves.
The hostel is a sturdy, stone building located within the school grounds, surrounded by dense forests. The entrance features a large, iron gate with moon-shaped engravings.
Each room is tastefully decorated with shades of earthy colors and has comfortable wooden beds, each equipped with soft, durable bedding.
Upon her arrival at the academy, Leanor was charmed by its distinctness, a stark discrepancy to the outside world, hidden from plain sight.
Attending Gifted Academy was a source of immense pride for all werewolves, and Leanor had fought tooth and nail to secure her place.
Now, having gained entry, she will be forced to depart due to her failure.
How would she face her mum ? What countenance would she wear when facing those wretched classmate like Violet?
Her thoughts snapped back to reality.
gaping at the sky, she screamed!
" Ahhh! Ahh! Ahh!"
Leanor screamed so loud, tears welling up in her eyes.
On top of a tree, a young boy lay peacefully with his hands resting behind his head. His face was facing the sky.
Suddenly, Leanor's scream jolted him awake!
" Leanor?" A voice echoed in her ear.
Startled, she screamed and spun around as if she had seen a ghost.
She looked at the boy standing before her in astonishment.
" Rufus!" Leanor blatted, her voice pulsing." What are you doing here? You. you do not go to this academy."
"You better get used to seeing my handsome face around, Leanor Ford, because I'm a student here now," Rufus smirked, slinging his backpack over his shoulders before turning to leave.
Leanor was left speechless. Rufus in the Gifted Academy? He'd soon discover her weakness and incapability to tap into her wolf power.
Nervously clinging her clothes, Leanor murmured to herself," Dammit!"
She snappily made her way back.
" Hey, are you done with your hallucination spell?"
Alice asked as she approached Leanor, her eyes fixed on the covered glass in Leanor's hands.
" Yeah. Yeah," Leanor replied, wiping her left hand on her clothes.
" Let me see! What did you conjure?"
" I am not showing you!" Leanor answered.
Alice let out a shriek, as if frustrated. Leanor smiled at her friend's response and followed her into the big hall.
The hall was incredibly big, able of accommodating around hundred people at formerly.
As they entered, all eyes turned towards them, casting strange ganders their way.
Some people were chatting with one another.
Feeling the weight of the curious gaze, Leanor could not help but feel a bit nonplussed .
Before she knew it, Violet approached, accidentally knocking the glass out of Leanor's hand.
" What the fuck?"
Leanor goggled at the shattered glass, a blend of frustration and pain welling up inside her.
It felt like a cutter piercing her heart. That glass was her assignment, she had spent hours working on it, and now.
" You stupid girl!!" Alice angrily yelled at Violet.
" What are you going to do, huh?" Violet raised her chin, a trim smile playing on her lips.
Alice's wrathfulness boosted as she caught sight of Violet's trim smile. She was on the verge of grabbing Violet's hair when Leanor stepped in and fleetly pulled her out of the classroom.
As soon as they exited the classroom, Leanor accidentally collided with someone.
Leanor's vision was blurred, and she did not have the courage to look at the person she had banged into.
She simply apologized and hastened down.
The person who had been knocked down was Rufus.
Rufus shook his head. Just as he was about to go, he heard the arrogant horselaugh of several girls coming from the classroom.
" Haha, serves you right! Anyone who can't senses their wolf, doesn't have a place here."
Violet blatted loudly.
" Absolutely, who does Leanor Ford think she is?"
Another girl, who was standing near to Violet, chimed in.
Upon hearing these words from outside the door, Rufus furrowed his brow, and gripped his hand.
" Stupid Violet, what's she doing here?"
