"How… how did it all come to this" the little boy no more than Twelve years old. laid sprawled on the ground bruised and battered with burnt marks all over his body.
****It all started that morning****
Feeling that he hadn't had this good of a sleep in a while, being grateful for the peacefulness of the celestial realm Fa'er a celestial no more than Twelve years old laid sprawled on his bed.
Yeah that's right this kid was a god albeit partially, heck only by birth right. Unlike other gods Fa'er was special. Special by the fact that he was the weakest god, possessing only a modicum of celestial energy. He was weak, but the good thing was unlike in other realms where weakness was mocked and shuned, in this realm he was simply non-existent.
How ironical being the weakest god to ever walked on the world but was birthed with the Starstream. How ironical being the weakest god but his parents were of much renown as very strong gods.
But alas this was fate and Fa'er had long learned to accept fate.
Wishing to stay in bed all day the boy rolled around the bed but it seems that fate wouldn't even fulfill his smallest heart desires as the door to his room bursts open jolting him awake and off his bed.
A tall slender woman with Scarlett eyes, Auburn coloured hair, doning on a robe ran through the door. "huh mom what's the problem why'd you break my door" the young boy asked seeing the dread in his mother face at first glance he knew that something wasn't right.
Bending down to his height the woman hugged the kid as she held his face "Fa'er promise me " she said in an almost inaudible voice. "huh…" the young boy thought in confusion. "Promise me son". Hearing his mother's voice confirmed his previous suspicion of there being a problem.
"Promise you what mum ?" Fa'er asked his mother an unsettling feeling creeping up his chest. "This is your only chance son, promise me… promise me that you'll make good use of it, promise me that you'll thrive".
" Mum I don't know what you're talking about ." looking his mother in the eyes the kid was terrified by the dread in them. He could see an emotion he couldn't describe, one as if she had given up hope, one as if she was lost, one of pure doom.
"Hah " she chuckled " Ultimately how you use it is up to you." saying these words she got up mumbled a few words that were directed at the boy and shortly after he started glowing slightly. "Mum what's going on" the startled kid asked again. He had never seen his mum act this way before. She was a strong, independent, loving and caring mother. What could make her like this.
" Run Fa'er, run to the plain fields, climb the highest hill there and bath in the sunlight."
'What the heck is all this', 'bath in the sunlight' had his mother gone crazy. This was the only thought going through the young child's head 'what the heck is wrong with his…' however before he could finish this thought.
*Boom*
An explosion occurred kicking up dust as their house catches on fire. When the dust finally settled, Fa'er was groaning in pains lying on the floor boarding of the house as sharp splinters pierced his skin.
'what the hell was that Fa'er' cursed pushing his little body off the ground. The whole house was thrashed and on fire. Looking for his mum he saw her still trying to get up as at the moment of the explosion she pushed him away and beared the brunt of the attack.
"Mum." the kid cried out mustering up strength, running to his mother, a barrage of questions flooded his head. " Why are we being attacked, by who, what do they want?" Rin had multitudes of questions. Looking into the hole left on the roof by the explosion, a stiffened expression crawled up his face as he saw a fireball, rather, a barrage of fireballs all burning with scorching blue flames.
Also noticing this, Fa'er's mother sprung up to her feet casting a Barrier spell around their almost collapsed house. But with this many attacks what would a simple barrier do. Being hit by the fireballs, the barrier cracked at the point of impact but then the cracks immediately disappeared as if the barrier was healing from its injuries.
This was the aspect of this shield. As long as it wasn't destroyed, it would continuously regenerate from all damages as long as the caster had Mana to feed it. "Run Fa'er run! " his mother screamed frantically trying keep the barrier going.
Feeling that this wasn't the right time to ask questions or had his previous questions answered, the young child dashed out of the house, before he could even reach the edge of the barrier though, it shattered and crumbled into pieces. Not turning back Fa'er continued running, towards the plain fields as his mother had instructed.
Inside the burning house things weren't looking that good as Fa'er's mother was pierced on her left arm by an arrow, one made out of the same blue flames as the previous fireballs.
Enhancing her eyesight with mana, the mother peered through the hole on the roof and then far away on a mountain covered with snow, a man, looking to be in his late forties wearing a sleeveless vest.
The symbol of a ball with lines surrounding it as if shining… a sun being impaled through by a sword etched on the back of the vest and deep within his eyes the dancing of blue flames were eminent, stood on a protruding rock on the mountain.
Multitudes of fire balls surrounding him from all directions, a bow was on his hands aiming at a burning house in the distance, however no arrow or even a quiver was seen with him.
Pulling the taut string of the bow, blue flames started to coalesce into reality as they took the shape of an arrow and then *swish*
Releasing the string of the bow, the arrow flew at a terrifying speed homing in on Fa'er's mother along with the fireballs surrounding the man it was a true spectacle to behold.
Jumping through the hole in the roof she floated amid air glancing back at her son running with all his feeble might.
As the fiery orbs whirled through the air, the woman flew towards them and gracefully dodged them, weaving between them with a fluidity that seemed almost supernatural. Her movements were a dance of elegance and power, a stark contrast to the destructive inferno unleashed by the man.
With a flick of her wrist, the woman conjured a barrier of shimmering energy, deflecting the incoming attacks aimed at her, however one slipped and went passed her.
The fiery storm continued to rage around the man as the woman closed the distance between them. She twirled, creating a vortex of energy that began to absorb the flames, extinguishing them one by one. The man, realizing the threat she posed, summoned even greater flames in a desperate attempt to overwhelm her.
However, the woman's focus remained unbroken. With a gesture, she redirected the concentrated blaze into a radiant stream of light that surged back toward the man. He struggled to maintain control, his power pushing against the force he had unleashed.
