Being as closely connected to nature as they were elves prescence in the forest of Euphora alone was enough to make the forest an amazing sight a view which was even more enhanced in the morning hence Devan's great attitude while he walked to the dungeon he was going to be using as his training ground today.
Just as he was exiting the manor gates he heard a familiar voice calling him and turned to see the Duke walking towards him so bowing slightly he greeted him "Good morning Duke Ail how may I help you today."
Responding to his greeting the Duke the Duke eyed hum all over before finally asking "So what exactly is this bloodline you awakened and how did it change your appearance so much."
Having prepared an explanation before hand Devan immediately responded "It appears I had quite potent Wood elf blood in me as my bloodline is related to the wood elves and after awakening it I felt a much stronger connection to the nature around me."
Nodding the Duke said "It makes sense the people of the village I found you in said they found you as a baby and there was a dead wood elf near you so I assume that was one of your parents."
Pausing for about 4 minutes he continued " I had thought this day would come Abit further in time from now but I guess that doesn't change anything I have something for you."
Waving his hand a book appeared from his storage ring and he handed to Devan "This is a technique only usable by the wood elves though similar to the one used by the gaurds at the manor it is still slightly different and more like an upgrade and causes the nature around you to attack the spot where you hit an opponent depending on how well you train it.
I know you are leaving to train and I advise you to train that technique to protect yourself also since you can now cultivate your Mana go east of the manor and wipe out the growing horde of goblins as practice."
Elated Devan happily took the technique and thanking the Duke rushed out of the manor grounds heading in the direction the Duke had pointed out to check out the technique.
Soon he had reached the area where the Goblins were and it was a tunnel going down into a hill , hiding behind a rock Devan waited until a goblin came out of the cave then wrapping himself in shadows Devan evaporated into darkness and appeared behind the goblin.
The clueless Goblin continued scouting out the area only to turn and stare right into Devan's crimson eyes causing it's eyes to glaze over for a few seconds before it went back to normal and the goblin knelt before Devan.
Impressed by the effectiveness of the compulsion Devan begun looking through the goblins memories and saw that the tunnel led underground into a goblin nest with about 8 groups each with 80 goblins and a goblin champion that protected the group with a troop of about 15 warriors plus a goblin chief as the head of all the groups and that was counting only the adults.
Since he had a headcount he could now put his plan in place so commanding the goblin to return into the cave and start bringing it's friends out Devan returned to his tree and sat to study the sword he had seen the Vampire emperor assimilate.
As he delved into his Divine realm he started searching deep inside the shadow world representing his divinity for the shadow element.
After a few seconds the ground before him split open and the sword flew out stopping right before him and releasing a wave of powerful Mana , the sword seemed to have changed compared to how it looked in the emperor's memories.
It still looked like a long sword but it now had a darker green blade and the tiny pulsating veins on it had turned completely Black similar to the handle of the blade which had smooth but hard scales.
As he grabbed the swords handle Devan was assaulted by a wave of Dark poison Mana which attempted to destroy his body and soul but it only lasted a few seconds before the sword as if recognizing him calmed down and begun absorbing some of Devan's Dark Blood Mana causing a connection to form between them.
When Devan left his Divine realm the sword was before him floating as if waiting for him to grab it , placing a finger on the blade of the sword he begun checking the connection which helped him understand it's abilities and everything about it.
The sword was made from the scales and fangs of a Divine beast that had a very strong affinity for all types of poison and it could change shape between a short sword , long sword , a bow or even split into two dual daggers.
No matter it's shape it had an innate affinity for poison and gave it's weirder a lesser divinity of poison plus other abilities that Devan still had to unlock.
Surprised by the part about another divinity Devan sent his consciousness into his Divine realm and saw another dwarf planet spinning around the Shadow planet which was in the middle of his divine realm , the dawrf planet was a sickly dark green in colour with a cloud of poisonous gas all around it.
Happy about the new power up Devan started swinging the sword to practice and get a feel for its weight but like an extension of himself Devan could feel no extra weight from the sword so his movements were perfect and slowly by slowly without realizing it Devan had learnt part of a sorwd art that was in the sword.
Continuing his practice Devan managed to master a few more moves learning around five moves only to pause mid practice remembering the goblin he had sent inside to bring out more goblins.
Heading back to the mouth of the cave Devan found the goblin standing with three unconcious goblins near it.
Grabbing two of the goblins Devan stabbed them with the sword infecting them with the swords lethal poison then drained them of their blood collecting in an orb and walking right into the cave following behind the goblin who he had commanded to drag the other unconcious goblins behind him to begin his extermination.
