As Devan continued going down one of the caverns the Poison sword could be seen floating next to him with it's Dark green veins pulsating excitedly.
"So I have decided to name you as you have a consciousness and can act on your own so you need a name." Buzzing excitedly the sword begun zipping around Devan in anticipation of it's name "I'm naming you Arpous because it sound dangerous."
Accepting it's new name immediately Arpous glowed Abit and a ray of power sunk into Devan's body once again strengthening him while his Mana also flowed into the sword feeding it.
After that ray of power Devan couldn't help but think that that according to his info on Alucards seal , Devan would unlock one of the God's powers everytime he cultivated his Mana past three realms which he had already done but no seal had been unlocked.
As he wondered why another ring of information appeared in his mind explaining why , apparently he had to first be accepted by a member of the same race as the God who he wanted to unlock before the seal on the God's powers unlocked and currently he was only accepted as an elf and knew how to live only as an elf while none of the God's he had become were elves.
Slightly irritated Devan let it go very fast because even though the seals were not yet unlocked his current cultivation alone was strangely overpowered like the fact that although he was only at the third stage his strength was similar to that of someone in the sixth stage and he was progressing fast like the more ancient races of Dragons and Phoenixes.
According to his speculation this was due to the fact that he was turned by a powerful being like Alucard hence making his hybrid Vampire blood even more pure and powerful than that of many Vampire progenitor's known in the universe.
Deciding to leave the unlocking of the seals for later Devan focused on the task ahead of him where another settlement of Goblins lay unaware of the doom about to fall them except this time unlike in the previous settlement Devan would not be killing them himself and would instead leave Arpuos to showcase his abilities.
Sitting at the end of the tunnel Devan begun meditating transferring about half his Mana Into Arpous before commanding the sword to go.
After about a minute th screams begun and a smiling Devan started trying to master the technique the Duke gave him finally obtaining it's name as he learnt it , the technique was Nature augmentation but while the one the town gaurds used would draw nature Mana from the environment to strengthen their attacks the one Devan had was different
Just as the Duke had said the technique strengthened the attack as well as mirroring the attack and attacking the same spot again with the damage depending on the users Mana.
Before practicing the technique he had previously memorized and now learnt how to execute Devan had to practice his control over his Mana.
He had not yet recharged his Mana by feeding but he still had about three quarters of it after using the Mana shot spell multiple times and also feeding Arpous a large amount of Mana for it to be able to fight on it and use some of its abilities.
Controlling some of his mana Devan begun shaping it differently and changing it's properties like the four basic elements making a flowing stream of Dark red floating Mana then changing it to a flaming ball of Dark red energy and an almost invisible of energy that was flowing at a fast speed and kept scattering and finally a rigid cube of mana.
Having completed that with alot of focus he then begun changing the amount of Mana he controlled slowly increasing it until he held a large ball about half a metre wide made of condensed Dark Blood Mana which he then split up and kept controlling using all his focus.
Right as he was about to lose control of the Mana he felt his body growing through another breakthrough causing another wave of pain that pushed him to the fourth stage of Blood elf apprentice allowing to control the Mana easily and that put end to his practice.
He stopped practicing his Mana control because Arpous had finished clearing out all the goblins so they moved on to the next settlements with the same routine until only one settlement was left and Devan was almost out of Mana and wanted an opportunity to recharges his Mana which the settlement generously provided as among the over 100 goblins in this settlements there were four hobgoblin mages along with the hobgoblin warrior.
Since he had brocken through and evolved into a Blood elf apprentice he was almost out of Mana and couldnt yet fully form the Blood runes in his divine realm so the fourth circle or runes around the Shadow world was very faint and unstable meaning he had only partially brocken through and still needed to drink blood before the runes fully formed and his breakthrough stabilized.
This time while Arpuos slaughtered the goblins Devan helped hiding and sniping out goblins with blood spikes from the poisonous goblin blood he had kept in his blood bank to use for fighting.
With both he and Arpuos participating the extermination went along faster and soon only the goblin mages remained having set a barrier around them before Devan or Arpuos could attack. Since Devan was still only at the fourth stagehis Mana was not enough for Arpous to awaken all his strength so he couldn't get through the Mana barrier made by the four goblin mages.
As the mages prepared a complicated spell within their barrier Devan smirked already having a plan. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and opened with one eye being Dark purple with a rune in the pupil and ancient markings covering the area around his eye.
The view of the cavern changed for Devan and he saw the Mana in the room as well as the Mana flowing the spell so he begun scanning the barrier until he found what he was looking for , within the barrier the Mana was not even and some areas where weaker due to the goblins crude knowledge of Mana manipulation.
Condensing another ice spike at his finger tip Devan coated it's tip in his Mana then aiming for a specific spot with a very thin layer of Mana launched the ice spike shattering the barrier and taking out one goblin mage as the spike went through the back of its head.
Since the barrier was gone Arpous was free to kill again and that's what he did finishing them off and allowing Devan to pull the blood out of their blood , he had already told Arpous not to use poison when fighting the Hobgoblin and the mages so the blood had remained untainted.
Originally he could have taken the blood of ordinary goblins but it was filled with impurities and the previous Hobgoblins were the same but the one in this settlement had almost no impurities and the mages had zero impurities and a substantial amount of Mana in their blood capable of allowing Devan cultivate even if just barely.
