"Did the police come to you today?" Eliana asked on their way to the press conference to clear her name in the incident at the gala.
"Mhm," Helios hummed. He was avoiding looking at her, and this, Eliana noted but didn't hint at it. She didn't want to take any risks now when they still had something important to do.
"I am sorry, I didn't know they'd go to Lilian, and she didn't tell me before giving that information to them. Now everyone thinks you are my fiancé," Elian said with an apologetic tone.
Hearing her words, Helios looked at her for the first time since they entered the car. He didn't know exactly what Lilian told the police but he knew she was the one who gave them his address and the information that Eliana spent at his home.
