After hearing those words and the warning, Lilian didn't know what else to ask. The… thing didn't even seem as though it would answer any more of her questions. Lilian had overheard Helios and Eliana's conversation, but she never thought that when he said that he could even be older than Auriana's father, he would truly be as old as that.
"It must be good to have immortal life and eternal youth," she mumbled.
She looked at the thing that should be watching slowly becoming one with the shadows. He could barely be seen now that he had found a spot in the room that was not as illuminated by the light as the rest of the room.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and Helios walked in. His demeanour was calm, but his gaze was sharp and piercing. With steady steps, he walked to the single sofa in the room and sat down. Lilian watched him with her heart pounding as loudly as it had never pounded before.
