[Would you like to know how Boss Battles work?]
"No!" Chk'ulehy stomped her feet on the ground. She took a deep breath and raised her hands to her chin. "System, I need you to shut the fuck up and let me focus."
Adrenaline ran through her veins as quickly as her mind raced.
Typically, when Sylas encountered a boss in a video game he would first identify the lose conditions and avoid them accordingly until he won eventually.
Chk'ulehy first identified the win conditions. "His death." She whispered to herself. She thought of the boys. Their smiles with their father nearly blinded her. She shook her head, pinched the radix of her nose while squinting, and took in a sharp inhale. She looked at the enemy in front of her.
He was taller than her by a good 2 feet. His body is rock solid. He beat down that crazy painted face sword wielding person earlier. Sylas Peters wasn't ever really faster than others. However, Chk'ulehy's stats have been increasing for the past 2 months.

[That's all really.]
"That's all I need." She exhaled as the miner extended his arm out.
She took a step back and didn't feel the ground on the heel of her feet. She had the urge to look back. "That would be a lose condition. I cannot look away." She stepped forward.
In the miner's extended arm's hand splinters of wood and shards of metal flew into existence and suspended itself in the air. It lasted for less than a second. He gripped his pickaxe so hard his hand turned red. Veins popped out of his forearm.
"I don't have any weapons. My nails have been shortened thanks to the climb. They are still sharp though. I'll have to go for his joints. Then his neck. I'm faster. I can win!"
"Chk'ulehy!" The miner yelled, as he lunged himself forward.
Her eyes widened. He swung his pickaxe at her. She squats.
"Ow."
A burning stiffness radiates throughout her quads. She could not fully squat.
"WORK YOU PIECES OF-"
CLINK!
The tip of Chk'ulehy's left horn flew off and hit a wall. Chk'ulehy kicked her legs out and fell to the floor. Her upper body, from her belly button up, hung off of the ledge. The miner's pickaxe swooshed in the air as he brought it above his head.
Chk'ulehy raised her upper body up. She lifted herself up with her arms. In an L-sit, she waddled forward. The miner swung his pickaxe again. She swung her legs to the side.
THUD!
The miner missed. Embedding his pickaxe into the ground. Her arms trembled. The miner struggled to release his pickaxe from the ground's grip. She pushed herself to the side and twisted her body to the same direction as her legs. She grunted as she rose to her feet.
Her calves throbbed. She ran to the tip of her horn that had broken off. It had rolled behind the miner's foot. He kicked it back towards the stairs as he took a step back.
She looked at where the pickaxe was. Gone. She looked at the miner. He twisted his body to swing a knife at her. She twisted her body around.
SCHLINK!
A piece of her right long sharp ear fell off. Blood gushed out of it. She screamed as she hurled herself to the ground. She gripped her ear. She landed on the stairs, back first. CRUNCH!
She recoiled, like a dying cockroach, her arms like a T-rex. The miner turned around. He cocked his arms behind his head.
She exhaled sharply as she stretched her left arm across her boy to reach for her horn.
SWOOSH!
The miner began his swing. Chk'ulehy smelled his bloodlust. She took her hand off of her ear.
SPLASH!
She threw her blood at his face.
"Gyah!" He yelped as his knife clanged off the ground. He held his face in his hands. The blood had gotten into his eyes. He stumbled. Chk'ulehy picked up her horn. She forced herself to sit up.
She felt her back pulsate. Her legs were as stiff as a board.
"Ahhh. This is really bad."
The miner writhed in pain. A smile flashed onto Chk'ulehy's face.
"I really might win."
She cackled. "This is gonna be really bad for my ego!"
She threw the tip of her horn at the miner's knee.
CRACK!
He fell to his other knee, released his face from his hands, and placed them onto his injured knee. He screeched. "Chk'ulehy!" He said something else, but the message was lost. He pulled her horn out of his knee and let out another scream.
Chk'ulehy took the time to recollect herself. After a few moments, she managed to wobble herself to her feet.
She picked up the knife that the miner dropped. She walked up to him, smiled, and swung the knife at his neck.
SCHLINK!
Blood gushed out of the side of Chk'ulehy's stomach. She stared at the miner's face. Crimson liquid poured down his face. His eyes were bloodshot. He could only see red. He bit down on his lower lip.
Chk'ulehy looked down at her stomach. Her own horn was jammed into her. She grabbed the miner's hand. "You haven't lost. You haven't lost."
She dug her nails into his hand. She swung her knife again. However, she stopped midway. The miner's neck had been sliced slightly. Blood poured out of it.
He removed his hand from her horn and used both of his hands to choke her. He used the weight of his body to fall on top of her. The back of her head hit the stairs. It was as though a boulder had fallen onto her.
Chk'ulehy had the wind knocked out of her. She grasped for air as the miner tightened his grip. She slapped his forearms. No effect. Saliva dripped out of her mouth. She dug her nails deeper into his arm. He did not budge. He coughed up blood onto her face.
She swung her arms wildly in front of her.

The miner's grip loosened. His body slumped on top of her. She coughed as she tried to take in as much air as possible. The miner's head rested on her shoulder. Blood stained her maroon dress. The walls and floor of the cave were stained with red.
"Huh? I won."

Chk'ulehy wheezed, "Anything to help me get this guy off me?" She tried to push herself up from under the miner's body, but he would not budge. Her hands seemed to slip away from his body with each attempt to push him like he was covered in oil.

"What the fuck does that have to do with- WHATEVER."

Chk'ulehy took a moment to look around. Her vision was blurry. She dropped the knife. She then put her all into pushing herself up from under the miner's body. It was a meticulous process that took her about 10 minutes. After pushing herself up slightly, she would then push herself back. However due to the stairs being so close, she had to slowly climb the stairs all while lifting the body. She had recovered a bit while doing so. Leading to her using her legs to finish the final push up the stairs.
Once the body, "Body. He's just a body now isn't he?"
Ahem.
Once the body had gotten off of Chk'ulehy, she rested on the stairs with hefty breaths. As her heart rate slowed down, the pain across her body ramped up. Her ear was still bleeding, only a bit. Her left horn throbbed, her back continued to pulsate, her legs were completely shut off from the rest of the body.
She was hesitant on pulling out her own horn out of her stomach. She feared that she would bleed to death, especially as she tried to move her way up the stairs. Each step brought along with it a jolt of pain. She had to drag her legs while her trembling arms had to carry her back to the sunlight.
"Ice cream. An ice cream sundae." Her lips were dry, but her mouth drooled. "Three scoops of vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate syrup snaking its way across those three grand hills of dairy. Mom, of course I'll take the rainbow sprinkles. Vanilla wafers to the side would be even better. And a banana split. Oh!"
She passed out on the stairs. She woke up moments later. "A cherry on top. Pretty please with a cherry on top let me live."
Miraculously, she managed to crawl her way out of the cave.
"NEIGH!"
The horse was rowdy. "It's only natural, I killed her master." She basked in the sun's rays, as she laid on the ground. A trail of blood followed her ascent to above ground.
[Are you ready?]
"Wait a minute."
[You shall begin your third quest.]
"Was that a person mimicking the horse?" She looked up. The pike in the ground remained, but the rope was ripped in half.

The pike disappeared under the foot of the dragon.
