[Kaizer's POV]
[So, do you plan on feigning ignorance?]
"No, I think confronting her is also an option. She didn't harm me in the novel, judging from the bits of interaction they had, so let's look into it. But I need to build up my strength. I have already lost two to three years compared to other awakeners my age, and after going through all the books here, strength will be the most important thing I will need in my journey before entering the academy."
[By the way, what was the reason for that crazy laughter? What was it about?]
"That, well, here's a question, Grade, if you have knowledge of the future and you can steal- I mean to obtain the powers the protagonist was able to receive due to his absurd heavenly luck, what would you do, even if you are affecting the future?"
[I would avoid affecting the future as much as possible and only take those hidden pieces the protagonist doesn't need.]
"That's pretty stupid of you. Why would you even be considerate of the protagonist when you know it could backfire? And doing your best to avoid affecting the future would also be inconvenient."
[So, what are you going to do?]
"Well, it was what I would do because the plan has changed completely."
[So, you won't steal the protagonist's hidden pieces?]
"The original protagonist was supposed to receive Excalibur through a ruin, which he unexpectedly stumbled upon while exploring them under his family's guild. Although giving him Excalibur was pretty much pointless because after the cataclysm, which led to every awakener obtaining World System along with the sudden appearance of Gods and Goddesses through those supposed systems, the protagonist was getting blessings from the gods and goddesses left and right, I mean, if you were going to you give him the Divine legacies, then why did you give him King Arthur's legacy before? Besides, it's not the only thing I am mad about. The royalties and the elite noble houses under them aren't any good. When I realized the truth, I would be crazy not to laugh."
[Kaizer, this is the first time I mentioned this, but I am unaware of the entire novel's contents.]
"What do you mean? I thought you could read my memories. Didn't you summarize the information regarding the world and provide me some insight?"
[I just noticed this anomaly when you mentioned the protagonist will be a bearer of King Arthur's legacy and the emergence of the World System and the Deities.]
'So, Grade can't look through my memories entirely. This could be beneficial if I am ever betrayed by it, but I won't let it go to that.' I surmised inwardly.
"I think it could be something your creator did. Maybe your creator was the reason for my awakened memories as well. You mentioned that you could also read the memories from my past life. Does this mean you could only see fragments of those memories? By the way, can you materialize physically in the real world?"
Suddenly, an ethereal white flame materialized before my eyes, and before I could react, it headed straight toward my direction.
The sudden appearance of this flame startled me, causing me to lose my balance and fall off the chair.
"Ouch!" I cried, displeased as I felt my body ache, even for a simple fall.
I remembered the high-protein diet I ordered daily for my trash body as I looked back at the shameless creature who materialized without warning.
[Yes, after going through your memories again, I don't think I can access all your memories.]
[Oh! I can materialize in this form, though information about this form is unavailable.]
Grade suddenly exclaimed in excitement, contrary to the occasional calm exchanges we have always had.
I was surprised by this sudden situation but was drawn to another aspect of this scenario.
'Our exchanges were too calm considering the situation, so I was doubting my hypothesis, but the sudden exclamation and emotions Grade is showcasing makes me single on the conclusion I have been thinking about for quite some time.' I surmised inwardly.
'Reprimanding him now would be pointless if my hypothesis is correct. I will wait for the time being until I am completely sure.'
"Be careful before you suddenly materialize. I was startled for a second."
[Sorry, Kaizer. By the way, will you obtain King Arthur's legacy before the protagonist?]
"I was going to, but why obtain something like that when I can get the origin."
[Origin?]
"Grade, for the past week, my initial thoughts were to rob the protagonist of the treasures and build up my strength. I wasn't going to compromise on that. It was the easiest and safest way, compared to rushing head-on into the unknown with no backup and hoping it works out, but now I will do just that. It will probably be the best gamble or the worst, probably the stupidest decision I will ever make. But if we succeed, I can assure you we can achieve our goals."
[What if we fail?]
"A miserable and pointless death probably laughable too if anyone hears of it."
[Don't you think you are being too casual about it?]
"It's fine, and everything will be okay. Don't worry about a single thing."
'[Why do I have a bad feeling about this?]' Grade muttered inwardly as he felt the ominous premonition in Kaizer's words.
A premonition which, if he had heeded, he wouldn't have been a partner of the immense trauma it would bring them throughout this crazy plan.
[I will trust you with this. So, what exactly is your master plan?]
"Well, I don't know if you noticed this yet, but when I went through those books, there was no mention of King Arthur. Do you understand where I am going with this?"
[Wait, why isn't it mentioned? It didn't even record King Arthur as a historical figure in the history in that timeline.]
"That's precisely the point. Why isn't one of history's most prominent figures absent, but his relic is present?"
[Why?]
"Although this is just my theory, you know that throughout our history, the presence of the royalties and the elite families was evident. The most conclusive evidence is the speed at which they reacted. It was as if they were ready for the whole situation. The first cataclysm was three hundred years ago."
"My theory is that the space-time fabric containing the Orion-Cygnus Arm was covered in a hidden veil, which led to Earth being safe from invaders and other planetary phenomena, and these families were probably responsible for the planet's safety. The first cataclysm was caused by a tear in the veil, which led some invading armies to notice this habitable planet's presence, and those invaders might have found something they wanted through this planet. This might have been eye-catching in the eyes of those invaders. Still, the cover wasn't wholly torn, safeguarding the earth from significant invasion, but led to small-scale attacks through foreign forces like demons, elves, vampires, etc."
"The second cataclysm mentioned in the novel was probably when the veil was completely torn off, although I can't summarize everything because I dropped the book before I could finish the first volume because I learned the news about Aunt and Uncle."
It's been roughly three weeks since I learned that news, or many years if I consider the coma.
I am still confused about my memories, but my emotions are my reality.
My regrets and sadness will never disappear regardless of how space-time, transmigration, or reincarnation works.
"Haa." While sighing, I leaned against the chair and reminisced about our many memories.
The loss I felt while holding their bodies still gnaws at my heart.
"I still miss them…If I could do anything to save them, then I would have. But I have already lost them, and I will have to live with those regrets forever." my thoughts were laced with helplessness and despair I encountered that day.
[Umm…They have gone to a better place and are thinking about you.]
"Haha…Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I don't think regrets are something that can be overcome with words. I will have to live with those regrets forever." A weak laugh escaped my mouth as my eyes blurred while I remembered the joyful moments I shared with them.
I slowly felt my consciousness slipping due to my emotions and fatigue and fell asleep.
[Good night]

[Third Person POV]
A cottage stood nestled deep within the heart of an enchanting forest, a refuge from the bustling world outside.
It was a place where time seemed to slow, where the rustling leaves and the melodic trill of songbirds created a symphony that whispered secrets to those who ventured near.
Inside the peaceful cottage, three people sat while enjoying a modest meal. Their happiness could be seen in their smiles.
The middle-aged man with a muscular body adorned a plain white shirt and black pants. His black hair added a charm to his style.
Beside him sat an ethereal beauty whose charm couldn't be hidden even by the simple clothes she adorned. Her rose gold hair enhanced her beauty as she served food.
"Kaizer, don't let the past chain you down anymore. Just trust me, who saved you that day and is always there for you." The middle-aged man flexed his muscles as he boasted about his power.
"Bruce, don't do that on the dining table. Kaizer, don't forget me, who was also there. Hmph!" she announced as she held her husband's shoulder playfully.
"Sera! I was the one who found him that day! I saved him!" Bruce retorted instantly.
"I was the one who found some people still alive under that debris!" She exclaimed.
Although their conversation could be interpreted as a severe matter about someone's life, the person in question, funnily enough, watched the interaction with a warm smile.
The feelings in his heart contained gratitude, love, respect, admiration, and many more.
His heart was filled with love as he witnessed their adorable banter.
All he ever wanted was to live in this moment forever.
But.
Does life always go the way you want it?
As his world spun, the reality was the nightmare he could never wake himself from.
His blood-soaked hands trembled as he held the bodies of the two people closest to his heart. Their bodies, riddled with bullets, trembled in his weak arms. But what broke him ultimately was the worry etched on their faces.
Even in their last breaths, they wanted his happiness.
Their endless love that transcends even blood could be felt when they screamed for him to save himself and run away.
"K-Kaizer, r-run away." their weak voices echoed in his ears as he realized that he lost everything.
Everything he had after those endless years of suffering shattered in a day.
Holding their lifeless bodies in his hands, his whole body was filled with rage.
An unquenchable rage to devour everything.
