[3rd POV]

"Look.

Look Inside."

Andreas leisurely walked back to his seat and turned his attention to the monitor as he observed Cecil inside the experiment room.

Cecil silently sat inside the room with his head bowed down.

The unkempt, long black hairs cascaded down the chair, covering his face.

His blue hospital gown was tattered, and the dark molds covered the cloth in various places.

His overgrowing, black, sharp nails added a ghastly aura to his lifeless body.

The pale white skin that was visible in some parts of his body was filled with a mixture of black, purple, and red patches all over his body.

The word abomination couldn't even describe the disgusting appearance visible, confusing the spectators about whether the entity inside the room was a human or a monster.

Cecil's room exuded a musty odor, a combination of neglect and decay that permeated the air.

The dim light flickered intermittently, casting eerie shadows on the peeling walls. The silence in the room was oppressive, broken only by the occasional creak of the worn-out furniture.

The room seemed to recoil from the presence within as if bearing witness to a tragedy defied explanation. The boundary between humanity and monstrosity blurred, leaving an unsettling uncertainty lingering in the air, a mystery waiting to be unraveled within the walls of that desolate room.

Andreas calmly observed the room for a couple of minutes.

After a heavy silence of eternity for Dr. Benjamin, Andreas pressed the mic and opened his mouth.

"Carlos, release Amelia and another guard into the room again. also, release the chains on Cecil." Andreas ordered through the mic and leaned back.

Dr. Benjamin stood calmly at this point, and the trembling subsided long ago.

After thoroughly organizing his thoughts, he realized that nothing could happen to him. After all, he had worked on this project for 20 years.

Dropping him from this facility wouldn't be logical, and this was just a demonstration to instill fear.

"I will follow your orders, Sir. We will release Amelia and the new guard, Marcos, in the facility. Shall we release them both in the room or simultaneously?" the speakers in the observation room buzzed, and Carlos replied politely to Andreas's orders.

"Send Amelia first, and I will mention when to send Marcos." Andreas promptly replied.

"Yes, Sir"

After a few minutes, a young girl entered Cecil's room.

Her eyes were covered with black cloth, she wore a hospital gown, and her short brown hair cascaded down to her shoulder.

She had a frail and skinny body, and her every movement seemed to be accompanied by a delicate shiver, as if a gust of wind could quickly whisk her away. The black cloth over her eyes concealed a mystery, rendering her expression unreadable and adding an enigma to her presence.

The hospital gown clung loosely to her frail and skinny frame, emphasizing the vulnerability that radiated from her. Its sterile fabric hung on her like a ghostly shroud, a stark contrast to the liveliness that her short brown hair exuded.

The cascading strands, reaching down to her shoulders, appeared to be the only aspect of her that retained a semblance of vitality. Her physical fragility mirrored a more profound emotional state, as if the weight of unseen burdens pressed down her slender shoulders.

"Amelia, you can lift off the blindfold," Andreas ordered through the mic.

Amelia carefully removed her blindfolds and blinked her marine blue eyes multiple times.

After adjusting her eyes to the lights in the room, her gaze fell on the young boy sitting on the chair.

Her expression changed from confusion, shock, and finally, joy.

"Cecil!" her weak voice echoed in the room.

She frantically ran towards Cecil, but a sudden jolt in her legs made her fall to the ground.

"I haven't ordered you to move yet, Amelia." A cold voice echoed in the room as she realized her situation.

The scene which she had momentarily forgotten for months will be repeated.

As she realized her predicament again, endless tears flew down her eyes as she stared at the boy who hadn't lifted his head even once throughout the ordeal.

"Cecil, wake up." Amidst her despair, Andreas's voice echoed inside the room again.

In response to the summon, Cecil's movements were slow, almost reluctant, as if emerging from a deep slumber in his realm.

His head, bearing the weight of both physical and unseen burdens, lifted gradually, revealing a visage marred by burns and scars. The once pristine canvas of his face now told a tale of anguish, each mark etched into his skin a silent witness to the trials he had endured.

Once vibrant with life, hazy blue eyes now held a dullness that seemed to reflect the room's somber atmosphere.

When those eyes met Amelia's, they conveyed a sense of recognition buried beneath layers of pain, a connection that had weathered the storms of time and suffering.

Despite the visible toll on his body and soul, Cecil remained calm, sitting in his seat with an eerie serenity.

It was as if he had become an anchor in the storm, weathered and worn but resilient in the face of the tempest surrounding him. His demeanor, though silent, spoke volumes of a strength that transcended the physical realm.

Amelia, her initial plea answered, couldn't help but bow her head in the presence of the man she had longed to see again. The joy of reunion momentarily eclipsed the harsh reality of Cecil's condition.

However, the love and longing in her eyes were tinged with a hint of sadness as the stark truth of his scars and burns became undeniable proof of his suffering.

In that bittersweet moment, emotions swirled, weaving a complex tapestry of connection, loss, and the unspoken hope that maybe there was a way to bridge the chasm that had separated them for so long.

After uttering the command that stirred Cecil from his silent repose, Andreas didn't linger to witness the reunion unfold.

"Cecil, kill Amelia." He immediately ordered in an icy voice as Amelia's mind filled with despair and hope.

Her marine blue eyes trembled with a mixture of emotions – a cocktail of fear, anticipation, and a thread of hope wading through the moment's uncertainty.

Despair about watching Cecil's suffering and hope that he once again resists.

Cecil obeyed Andreas's order and slowly walked toward Amelia.

Even though his body was riddled with scars and patches, his walk was firm and steady.

After reaching Amelia, who was gazing at Cecil with trembling marine blue eyes, he carefully lifted his clenched fist.

Andreas and Dr. Benjamin watched this spectacle with bated breath.

Andreas, in the fact that Cecil didn't budge in the past when he was ordered to kill Amelia in the past, was walking towards her with a steady gait.

Dr. Benjamin in the hope that he could finally succeed in his long-cherished wish of creating the perfect soldier.

Standing before Amelia with his fist held high, Cecil exuded an eerie calmness.

The tension in the room heightened as everyone waited for the inevitable impact, the climax of a dramatic moment suspended in time.

Amelia, however, remained steadfast. She didn't flinch or attempt to evade the impending strike.

Instead, she locked eyes with Cecil, finding a reflection of herself in his dull blue gaze.

In that charged silence, an unspoken connection lingered, transcending the impending danger.

Just when the atmosphere reached its zenith, Cecil defied expectations.

His clenched fists, rather than delivering a blow, slowly opened. The act revealed bleeding hands, wounded by his sharp nails.

The unexpected gesture, a deviation from the anticipated violence, held a profound symbolism. Amelia, even faced with the prospect of imminent harm, kept her eyes fixed on Cecil.

In that moment, the room held its breath, suspended between the conflicting forces of past, present, and the unpredictable future that lay before them.

"Cecil, I ordered you to kill Amelia," Andreas repeated his order, but Cecil didn't budge from his stance and stared blankly at Amelia.

Amelia smiled as endless tears rolled down her marine blue eyes.

Dr. Benjamin clenched his fists in disappointment and anger.

"Carlos, send the new guard, Marcos, inside the room," Andreas ordered Carlos, ignoring Benjamin's expression.

Andreas looked indifferent when he saw the scene inside because he had already encountered this scenario the last time.

Marcos entered the room with a confident gait. He had a muscular build, and tattoos covered half of his face.

He entered and calmly stood at the entrance with a smirk.

Being selected as the new guard in the facility made his atmosphere arrogant and ignorant.

"Are you the monster Cecil they mentioned? I will make sure to have fun with that girl before you." Marcos announced as he looked at Amelia with lust.

"Cecil, kill the new guard." His vision blurred before Marcos could even register what Andreas said.

Cecil's figure disappeared, and he arrived in front of Marcos.

Despite being a professionally trained boxer, Marcos couldn't register Cecil's inhumane speed.

Before he could do anything, he realized he couldn't move his body.

He could see his legs before his eyes in his blurred vision.

As he realized that his neck was separated from his body, he heard a dull emotional voice as the last murmur in his life.

"Die" was the last word that Marcos heard in his final moments.

"Carlos, the next time, make sure no one even thinks about touching my materials. Also, remove Amelia from the room." Andreas ordered indifferently.

"Y-Yes, Sir." Carlos stuttered as he realized the indifference in Andreas's voice.

Carlos realized that the indifference in Andreas's voice emerged from the experiment's failure again.

The fact that Cecil didn't follow the orders to kill Amelia again was the final nail in the coffin.

Andreas and Dr. Benjamin exchanged no words after the failure of the experiment.
