Neo, Owen, and Chloe didn't know much about how Alden met Selena, so they were curious too.
"That's amazing." Kai complimented. He did so more because Aether was here and could see they had a close relationship. In reality, the plan was not that amazing.
It mostly relied on chance and luck. If even one little thing went wrong, everything would have failed. If Matthew had been smarter and informed Elttil, the plan wouldn't have worked. If he came with Elttil the night they fought, Alden would be dead.
If they were not students, causing Elttil and Matthew to underestimate them heavily, everything would've gone astray. If Elttil considered that Alden might have relationships with important figures or his slight ability to scheme, the plan would have failed.
