The hours passed, and soon, dawn arrived.
Aether stayed awake all night, staring at the fire. The fire had almost gone out, so he stood up and threw in a few wood pieces.
He then looked at Alden, who slept on the couch.
Swoosh!
His pupils shrank, and his eyes sharpened.
He released all his killing intent, directing it at Alden.
At first, there was no reaction from Alden. But as a few seconds passed, Alden started shivering in his sleep.
A wave of coldness washed over his body.
He opened his eyes and raised.
The moment he opened his eyes, Aether stopped releasing his killing intent.
Alden rose from the bed and looked around, confused.
'Why is it so cold?' His eyes landed on the fireplace. The wood Aether threw in started burning, releasing heat.
"You are awake," Aether spoke. "It's time for your training. Wash up and follow me outside."
Alden nodded.
