Ever since I was born, I was trained to be a proper noble elven heiress. Maids and guards were by my side all the time and I wasn't allowed to have a breath of fresh air.

This life was quite choking to be honest. I never had a smile on my face. I was told to have a cold expression at some special occasions but it stuck and my parents got worried.

The same thing happened with Emira but she was much better. At least she showed emotions like gritting her teeth and clenching her fists from time to time.

When I was four, I was told to go and meet my fiànce. I read books from the library and having a fiànce never worked out. I would have to wait for my prince charming or some savior like that but even that felt choking.

As I walked into the main house of the Von Wight family, I felt apathetic. Although the building was far better than ours and any normal child my age would definitely gasp, I didn't feel anything even if I wanted to.

It felt like I was in a cage called my body and outside that cage was an even bigger cage called nobility.

My fiance was waiting for me in the living room and as I walked in, I heard somethings.

"His brother broke his arm in bed yesterday. Dr. Carter just performed a healing on him. I hope he can do well here and impress the ice girl."

It was a maid who said all that and she averted her eyes as they met mine. Ice girl huh? Nice name. I wonder what name they gave Emira. Warm girl?

The doors finally opened up and a young boy walked in and my eyes widened for the first time in years. Well, I'd only lived four so it's a year I guess but...

He had the ears an half-elf would have and the ears an half-fey would have but it didn't seem out of place. His light purple eyes gleamed with a knowledge glint like he'd lived far longer than he looked.

"Greetings, Lady Eva Roseburn. Would you like to have some tea with me?" Asher finished reading from the paper in his sleeve.

From there I don't really remember what happened. After that first visit, my cold face seemed to melt and I started to smile more and more and I became a normal kid again.

Father spoiled me after that and mother spoiled Emira who'd started smiling too. We played chess, cards, played pranks on poor maids and the likes and later on we became fellow disciples of aunty Emilia.

She was at the early stages of the pure core but she sealed it for obvious reasons although not totally so the ears on her head still showed her true race.

It was finally time for me to say goodbye for a year but I couldn't face Asher. I ran and hid in the carriage and cried my heart out.

I had a communication orb with mother so we constantly chatted and on one cool evening, the conversation went off track...

Mother's face was quite different from what she usually showed and she looked like a scheming witch.

"...and if he doesn't listen, tie him up in the basement..." My face flushed red as I cut the call but those words didn't disappear from my mind.

My thought process gradually began to change and I began to prepare... a basement.

I called mother and I asked for more tips and she gladly gave me. I thought I was prepared for when he would come because it was finally time for the new students to get into the school.

I wanted to search for him but stinky vamp (Wilston) gave me some work to do and he would give me the whole day off but before I was done, he came to find me... and my mind blanked out.

All my preparations fell out the window and I felt like I should be the one to be tied in the basement. Some ants came after us and he wiped them away.

After we parted at the destroyed cafeteria, I went to my apartment and I had a good night sleep. The student council presidents were given an apartment on the school grounds.

I invited Noah, Lara and Gloria to live with me but after that day, Asher hadn't come to visit me. Should I go on with my plans? Or maybe he was busy?

Suddenly I had an epiphany. Why was that guy still my home when MY Asher lives in the stinky dorm room?!

I rushed out of my room and into the living room where everyone was.

"Noah, I'm kicking you out. Pack your things, you have five minutes or I'll blow a hole through your disgusting head." I said with a cold voice.

I could hear the inner me screaming,

Kill him! He's contaminating this holy place! Kill! Kill!

I was only holding back because he was my friend.

"What do you mean Eva? We live here." He asked, looking confused.

"It's exactly what it means. Get. Out. Of. This. House." I shot back immediately.

"Ah I see. It's that first year right? The four ears. Eva, he's the wrong choice, choose me. I promise I'll—"

Noah didn't finish speaking as an arrow lodged itself in his foot.

"LEAVE!" Eva shouted, she was losing the fight against her patience.

"So that's how it is... I promise this, you'll regret being with him." Noah walked away with blood dripping from his foot.

"I'll make you..." He muttered.

"Now, all that remains is those two~" Eva smiled gleefully as she walked to the rooms of her two friends with a large scythe in her hands.
