Chapter 18 - Someone try to kill me

Radella rushed to the car park and quickly got into the car. The weather suddenly darkened and it wasn't long before raindrops started to fall on the airport car park. Luckily, she still had time to get into her car. At a time like this, she was worried about her husband, who was in the fuselage of the plane that had just taken off.

"I hope your flight is all right, Dominic," she said quietly.

Although disappointed by her husband's words she had overheard that night, she was still worried about the man who had been with her for several years. She was also disappointed and angry with herself for having dared to fall too deeply in love with Dominic. He didn't really love her at all.

"You are lucky, Jessica. Even though you betrayed him, Dominic still loves you. Whereas I ... hahaha, you idiot! I'm like the dark side of the moon," she laughed at her own stupidity.

The journey home took Radella a long time. I don't know if it was just her feelings, or if it was because her mind was overwhelmed with emotion after learning the truth. Still, she tried to drive the car calmly. But suddenly...

Brake!!!

Radella felt the car hit her from behind and her head hit the steering wheel. Before she could regain her composure, she felt another loud crash and her mind immediately turned to fear. She thought to herself that this was no ordinary thing.

"What is this? Who are they?" She said in panic.

The deserted streets and the rain added to Radella's panic. It wasn't just one car that hit her, it was two cars trying to hurt her. She didn't know what their motive was. But for sure, she felt that her life was not OK at the moment.

"Argh ..."

Shards of glass hit her face as the two cars took turns crashing into the vehicle she was traveling in. Without thinking, Radella tried to swerve and drove her car at high speed until finally...

Braked!!!

"Argh! Dominic ... Mum, Dad ..." Radella screamed hysterically as the car she was traveling in overturned as she swerved to avoid a car suddenly in her path.

Radella was still conscious when she heard footsteps approaching. Although her body was already covered in blood from the shattered glass and she was still in the overturned car, she tried to stay conscious to find out who the person was who wanted her dead.

"Apparently this woman is also strong. Although I'm sure her body is already badly injured," the man said coldly.

"So what do we do now? The person who sent us wants news of her death," one of them asked.

"What are we waiting for? Let's fulfil his orders and get out of here. Let's hurry! Don't let anyone see us. Or we'll be in trouble," the man replied.

Radella looked at the two people. Even though it was weak, because her face was already covered in blood and broken glass was stuck in her face and some of her limbs, she tried to stay awake.

"W-who are you? Why are you trying to kill me? Wh-what the ..."

"Don't ask so many questions! You must die now so that my master can bring good news to his beloved. Hurry up and kill her!" The man's scolding immediately commanded the others.

"At least tell me why you want to kill me. Argh, it hurts ..." Radella could only growl in pain as one of them shattered the windscreen and cut her face.

"You better pray before death takes you, pretty lady. Hahaha, it's a shame that such a beautiful woman has to die in vain just because of a love affair," the man said as if laughing at Radella's foolishness.

"Don't talk so much, just kill him and get out of here!" said the other.

Radella had resigned herself to her fate. Although she still wondered who the person was who wanted to see her die, she felt that there was no point anymore. She saw her Angel of Death as if he were standing there to greet her. But then ...

Bang ... bang ... bang ...

Radella did not know what happened next. She only saw the two men who had tried to kill her earlier lying lifeless before her eyes. Then she heard the voice of another man ordering people to lift her body. She could see the face of the man who looked at her coldly before she finally lost consciousness.

"Take this woman. Quickly!" the man ordered sternly.

"Yes, sir. And what about these two men?" his men asked.

"Destroy them! Leave no trace. Do it perfectly," he replied, getting into the car and driving off.

Having seen the master leave, the others immediately carried out the orders the master had requested. They worked in an orderly and coordinated fashion until all evidence had disappeared.

"How is the woman? Has she regained consciousness?"

"Her condition is much better. It's just that the doctor hasn't given us any confirmation about the woman's condition, Mr Sergio. So we still have to wait for a further statement."

"What are we waiting for? Where are the doctors and the nurses who were paid to look after her?"

"Well, Mr Sergio. They -"

"I don't want any excuses. Call them here immediately! I need an explanation!"

"Yes, Mr Sergio."

While his confidant searched for the whereabouts of the doctor who had treated the woman he had saved, Sergio decided to go to the room where the woman was struggling between life and death. He did not know why this woman was so important to him. In fact, he did not know her at all.

I'm sure your face must have been very beautiful before the tragedy. And I'm sure you'll get it back. But first I must know who you are, and I must have a good reason to help you, poor woman.

In the meantime ...

No one knows how long Radella was unconscious. When she awoke, she found herself in a hospital ward with various devices attached to her body. For a moment she tried to remember the incident that had almost cost her her life. Unconsciously, her tears fell as she remembered the incident.

Not long after, she heard footsteps and the sound of people approaching. Naturally, her alertness increased until she panicked. The trauma made her afraid to see people who looked unfamiliar, even if it was just someone in a white coat like a doctor.

"Where am I? Who are you?"

"Better calm down. And let the doctor examine you first."

"But ..."

"Let the doctor examine you. Let me know how it goes after that."

"Yes, Mr Sergio," replied the man who was his right hand. "You heard what Mr Sergio said, right? So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and examine this woman," he continued.

"Yes, Mr Kelvin," said the doctor, who immediately ordered the nurse to help calm the woman by injecting a sedative.

"Let go of me! What are you doing? Don't come any closer! Go away!"

"Miss, calm down. We just want to check you out. So please cooperate and let us do our work in peace," the man said pleadingly.

After seeing the doctor's pleading look at her, she tried to calm down. But she was still very confused. Because she had no idea where she was. All she remembered was that she was on her way home after taking her husband to the airport. After that ...

"Dominic ..." she said softly before she finally fell asleep after the sedative had started to work in her body.

The name that had just fallen from the poor woman's lips was also heard by the man who was staring at her wordlessly. He did not recognise the woman who was fast asleep in the ward. The man had helped her out of the burning car that had almost killed her. I don't know who the person was who wanted her dead. But one thing was for sure, he would not keep quiet.

"Find out who that woman is. Report to me immediately. I wonder who the person is who wants her dead," the man ordered his men.

"Yes, Mr Sergio," his men replied and walked away from him.

"Master, shouldn't you go home and rest first? Then you can …"

"Let me know when she regains consciousness," said the man his confidant called Sergio. "And I'll expect a report on her identity tonight," he continued as he walked away, leaving panic on the face of his confidant, who immediately contacted someone on the phone.

"I need a report on the woman Mr Sergio rescued immediately," he said emphatically and hung up. Then he rushed over to his boss. "I'm going to go crazy with his requests

," he said to himself, exhaling quietly and hurrying off. .
