Chapter 19 - Sadness and anger

Dominic went mad when he heard that the car his wife was driving had crashed shortly after she had taken him to the airport. Unfortunately, the police found his wife's car burnt out and her body was not found in the car. The police concluded that Radella's body had been burned and left no marks.

The grief is not only felt by Dominic, but also by his own two in-laws and biological parents. Not long ago, he and Radella were on their second honeymoon. But a few days later, he lost his wife forever.

Devastated, that's how Dominic feels at the moment. He still can't accept the tragic death of his wife. In fact, they had made many plans together for the future of their second household. But death has shattered that hope.

"Radella, what a pity for you, my daughter. You should not have died in such tragic circumstances. Please forgive your mother. Don't leave us, my dear daughter," Theana Yori said, looking hysterically at Radella's car, now a black skeleton from the fire.

"Theana, please don't be like that. Radella will be very sad if she sees us still mourning her death. Calm yourself," Hans Yori said, trying to calm his wife despite his own pain and grief.

"She is our daughter, Hans! How can you ask me to let her go? Her death is too tragic for a child as good as Radella. Why didn't I die? Why must it be my daughter who has just tasted happiness?" Theana said, crying hysterically with guilt as she remembered how hard she had been on Radella for getting her way.

"Theana! Enough! Stop mourning Radella! Do you think you're the only one who's sad? I'm just like you. Besides, there are so many wrongs we both did to her. I-"

"Hans, never mind. Don't blame each other. We are all guilty. But don't let your grief stop Radella on her way to heaven. Don't you feel sorry for her? She has swallowed too much disappointment for what we have done to her. So this time, let her go home in peace," said the son-in-law, who was Dominic's biological father.

"What my husband said is true, Hans. We can't be selfish and not think of Dominic's feelings now. Don't you realise that my son is suffering more now that he has just lost his wife and my daughter-in-law? Adolf Toretto said, unconsciously shedding tears.

The four of them now just stared at Dominic, who decided to enter the private room where he and Radella used to make love, tell stories and share laughter. But from now on he would have to get used to being alone.

"Dominic..."

"Leave our son-in-law alone, Theana. It's better to leave him alone. He needs time to remember his memories with our daughter - his wife," Hans Yori said, preventing his wife from approaching his son-in-law. "Let's go into the living room and discuss the police investigation into Radella's accident.

The three of them nodded and left, leaving Dominic still silent in the room, staring at a picture of his wife from their honeymoon in the Maldives. Really, if he'd only known that their time together at the airport would be their last, maybe he wouldn't have forced himself to go to New York. But at the time, Radella was forcing him to go.

"Oh my God, what have I done? Why wasn't I aware that her attitude had changed lately? Stupidly, why do I still think of her when my wife loves me so much? Radella, please forgive me and my foolishness. I'm sorry," he said, lamenting his wife's departure.

Dominic is a stupid man. If he already has Radella, who accepts all his weaknesses and strengths, he still has feelings for the woman who hurt his feelings. In fact, one of the reasons he went to New York was not just a business trip. Instead, he wanted to meet Jessica Amadeus Yori - his former fiancée and Radella's older sister - his wife.

They still secretly exchange messages, even if it's just to ask how she's doing. He doesn't know who started first. But what is certain is that Dominic deeply regretted his stupidity in falling for Jessica's charm.

He was so angry with himself that he kept pounding his chest, not caring about the pain he felt. Because of his stupidity, he would lose Radella forever. He would never be able to see her smile and her laughter and her silliness again. And once again it was because of her.

"I'm not worthy of your love, Radella. I'm a foolish man, still easily seduced by the charms of other women. Please forgive me, Radella ..." Dominic cried, hugging the picture of his wife.

Without realising it, a person with red, angry eyes heard every word that came out of Dominic's mouth. It was as if this person wanted to go up to the man who was still crying over the death of his wife and beat him mercilessly. But instead, he decided to leave and meet the three people who were now looking at him with strange eyes.

"Hans, what happened? Why are your eyes red? Where's Dominic?" His wife asked worriedly.

"Theana, we should go home now. I want to calm down in Radella's room," he replied without looking at the three of them.

"Hans, are you all right? Why are you..."

"Theana. If you still want to stay, that's fine. But I want to go home right now," he interrupted his wife.

"But, Hans-"

"Now, Theana!" He said, holding back his emotions.

"Hans. Are you all right? Why are you..."

"You'd better look after your son and leave us alone. Come on, Theana!" Hans Yori said as he walked away.

Theana didn't really understand why her husband's attitude had suddenly changed the moment he had met his daughter-in-law. But she was sure that Hans Yori was hiding something from her.

"I better catch up with my husband. Please forgive his behaviour. Give Dominic my regards. Tell him not to dwell too much on his grief," she said goodbye.

"You understand. Please convey our apologies if we have offended you, intentionally or unintentionally," Adolf Toretto replied.

"I also apologise on behalf of Hans. Then I will leave. I don't want to make Hans any more uncomfortable. Take care of yourselves," he said as he left.

The couple who were Dominic's parents were naturally surprised by Hans Yori's change of attitude. They just stared at the departure with a smile, although the man in the car did not look back at them.

"What is wrong with Hans? I'd better ask Dominic directly," Adolf Toretto said curiously.

Meanwhile, in the car ...

Silence surrounded the couple. Hans Yori chose to concentrate on driving, even though his heart was full of anger. Because he didn't want anything to happen to him and his wife. Hans chose to think clearly before he could somehow forget his anger.

"What exactly has happened to you, Hans? Why are you so angry after meeting Dominic?" Theana dared to ask to find out the reason.

But no answer came out of her husband's mouth, who was still concentrating on driving. Naturally, this upset Theana and she decided to remain silent in the face of her husband's behaviour. However, one sentence uttered by her husband almost made her lose consciousness.

"Dominic is having an affair. What's even crazier is that he still has love for the woman who once betrayed him," he said, sounding angry.

"What do you mean, Hans? Who are you talking about?" Theana asked.

"Jessica ..."

"Jessica? What's wrong with her? Is she in trouble?" The woman asked, fearing something had happened to her other daughter.

"Dominic is having an affair with Jessica again. He betrayed Radella! He killed our daughter Theana! Dominic and Jessica ar

e the cause of Radella's death!!"

"No …"
