The day after Dastan's funeral, Amoura was rushed to hospital with haemorrhaging and doctors decided to remove her baby prematurely. Amoura was nearly eight months pregnant at the time. But for the sake of their safety, Dastan's parents gave in and accepted the gynaecologist's decision.
"Save them both. I can't choose between Amoura and my granddaughter. Both are equally precious to us. Besides, the baby is Dastan's last memory," Rodriguez told the doctor before entering the operating room.
"We will do our best. Pray that they both survive," the doctor replied to Rodriguez and his wife.
"Thank you, doctor," they both said.
