Shuffle Playlist: Sad Forever by Lauren Spencer Smith.
''Bia, stop dragging me. I'm already tired.'' Sabrina squatted on the ground and stared at Bia.
Immediately after the meal, Bia had dragged her out of the villa for them to walk around. Bia had helped her dry her hair and combed it for her but Sabrina refused to change out of her pink pajamas. She wanted to go back to bed after eating but Bia didn't allow that.
Now they were outside the villa. Bia was urging Sabrina to take a walk with her around the neighborhood but Sabrina wanted to just go back to bed and nurse her broken heart.
''Aunt, you are already past your prime. If you sleep too much, you are going to get wrinkles in no time.'' Bia said. The little girl was dressed up in a pair of blue jeans and a white barbie shirt.
''Hey! I am just 28 years. What do you mean I am past my prime. Let me tell you, I am just entering my prime.'' Sabrina glared at Bia.
''Get up and let's take a walk. Who knows? You might meet one of the bachelors staying in the Estates. I've seen a few of them and they don't look back.'' Bia said mischievously and winked at Sabrina.
Sabrina jolted to her feet. ''Bia, look at how I am dressed. Do you think I am in the mood to meet someone? Others might even think I am mad.''
''The way you are dressed has just one description. Aunt, do you want to know what it is?'' Bia asked as they started to walk around.
''What word?''
''Heartbreak! You usually dress beautifully but now look at you? You are still in your pink pajamas. Anyone looking at you would know you are suffering from heartbreak.'' Bia shook her head and gave Sabrina a clear disapproving look.
''Who did you take after? Surely not me, because you have a sharp tongue. Let me tell you, I still look sexy in these pajamas. Wait until a pajama brand sees me in these. Bet they are going to ask me to be their brand ambassador.'' Sabrina said proudly and flipped her hair back.
Bia laughed. ''You are right. My aunt looks beautiful in anything.''
Sabrina smiled. She lowered her body and hugged Bia saying. ''Kiddo, thank you. I know you brought me out for my own good. I know that you are worried about me, but you don't have to be. I am a grown woman and I can take care of my own affairs.''
''I know, I know you can take care of yourself, but as your niece, I can't help worrying about you.''
''Since we are out, let's talk a walk around the neighborhood and bask in the sun. Afterwards, I will take you out shopping.'' Sabrina's mood lightened up a little.
''If you are taking me shopping, can I buy whatever I want?'' Seeing the obvious mood change in Sabrina, Bia wanted to use that chance to her advantage.
''Yes, you can buy whatever you want. Now, let's go.'' Sabrina held Bia's hand and they started walking around.
After walking for more than thirty minutes, Sabrina and Bia decided to return home. The two were chatting and laughing happily. Is been a while since they've been this carefree and Sabrina appreciated this moment a lot. She took a lot of pictures with Bia along the way.
''Aunt, what do you plan to do now? I mean Vincent is getting married to another woman. You won't be able to stay next to him anymore.''
Sabrina exhaled and smiled. ''Actually, I didn't know what to do, but after taking a walk with you, I know what to do next.''
''Really? Care to share your thoughts?''
''Thanks to Vincent I got another year added to what I have. I am going to make good use of it. I will enjoy my life and make sure I stack up a lot of cash for you to enjoy when I'm gone…'' Sabrina said and Bia let go of her hand. When Sabrina realized it, she turned and saw Bia crying.
''Bia, why are you suddenly crying? Weren't we just chatting happily before?'' Sabrina squatted in front of the little girl.
''Aunt, don't leave me. I don't want you to die. If you die, what will become of me? What will I do if you die? Aunt, please don't die and leave me alone. I don't mind been the one to die first…'' Bia's tears became more intense and uncontrollable. It made Sabrina teary.
''Babe, don't cry. I am not dying today. We still have a lot of time ahead of us.''
''I don't care, I just don't want you to leave me. Aunt, why are we cursed? Why can't we just live and grow old like other people? I am scared. I am scared that you will die and leave me alone. Aunt, please, can't we find a solution to this curse?'' Bia continued to cry.
The scene of the little girl crying made Sabrina weak and disheartened. Compared to her own grief, it seemed she hasn't paid attention to the little girl. Because Bia has always been bubbly, Sabrina thought she was doing well, but now that she has heard those words from Bia, she realized that the girl has been pretending all this while.
''Bia, I'm sorry. Aunt is sorry. I haven't been paying attention to you.'' Sabrina's knees grew weak and she knelt down and hugged the girl.
''Aunt, I know, this is not our fault, but I just find it unfair. My teacher says that God exist and is real. Maybe, we should start going to church. Maybe, God will show us mercy.''
Sabrina's tears fell uncontrollably. ''Babe, my sweet baby. What do I do?'' Sabrina's helpless words escaped wretchedly.
As they stood in the middle of the way hugging and crying, Bia looked behind Sabrina and saw Vincent. He was standing between the purple allium in the pathway to the villa.
Bia immediately wiped her tears and whispered into Sabrina's ear. ''Aunt, we have company…''
Sabrina turned immediately and fell down. Because she had been kneeling for a while, her knees gave in and she fell. When she saw Vincent a distance away from her, she cussed. She was already in a pitiful situation, why did he have to see her in such a sorry state?
Sabrina managed to stand up and hold Bia's hand. Without a word, she walked away.
''Sabrina…'' Vincent called but Sabrina started to run with Bia. She didn't stop until she got into her villa and locked the door.
''Aunt, are you alright?'' Bia asked.
''Don't ask me anything. I'm going to bed.'' Sabrina said and entered her room.
Bia sighed and also went into her room.
Later that evening…
Tia couldn't stop laughing when Sabrina told her what happened earlier on. She laughed until tears rolled down her eyes.
''Can you stop laughing, already? I just told you my self-esteem and dignity hit the wall and you are laughing at me? Tia, are you still my sworn sister?'' Sabrina frowned and glared at Tia.
''I am still your sister. It's just that this is too funny not to laugh. How did you even think it was okay to go out in a pink pajama? That pink pajama itself has a funny moo face at the back. I can't believe Vincent saw you in that…'' Tia shook her head.
''I hate myself right now. I should have dressed up before going out. Tia, I don't think I will ever be able to recover from this. He even called me. Why would he call me in that state? Did he expect me to turn and talk to him or what?''
''Darling, something doesn't seem right here. You said he was standing in front of the purple allium. What was he doing there? Don't tell me he is the owner of that purple allium?''
''Huh? No way! He can't be, right?'' Sabrina's face changed. She laid on the couch and yelled.
''Aye, it's alright. I don't think it's that deep.''
''Tia, my image is destroyed completely. How do I face the world now?''
Vincent stood in front of his tinted glass window overlooking Sabrina and Tia's villa. He had a glass of wine in his hand as he watched the other villa keenly.
''I don't care, I just don't want you to leave me. Aunt, why are we cursed? Why can't we just live and grow old like other people? I am scared. I am scared that you will die and leave me alone. Aunt, please, can't we find a solution to this curse?'' Bia continued to cry.
Vincent shook his head. The scene of Sabrina hugging Bia while they both cried was engraved in Vincent's head. He couldn't shake it off.
Vincent returned to the hall and picked up his from on the table. He made a call to Georgia.
''CEO, hello…''
''Georgia, I want you to do something for me tomorrow morning. No, I want it done before daybreak tomorrow.''
Georgia was sleeping when the call came. She got out of bed immediately and opened her laptop. ''Speak, CEO, I'm listening…''
''I want you to…'' Vincent's voice faded into the dark as he spoke.
